TIP: Installing All 'Package Files' from your USB Drive.

Any feature that requires QA enabled is currently unavailable with HAN.
But if there is a way to run this particular feature without QA, it might be a different story.

How we can run this without QA could u explain if there away to do it without QA please that option is important to me and others it install all pkgs just once click so could u help us to do this ? Please

Did you get it to work. In trying to install a couple of pkg files created from retroxmb creator and get the same error code

I have rebug 4.82 and read sonewhere that its not supported with later fw right? That sucks. Guess ill go the old way and do singles.

it's not supported by ferrox afaik. imo, that's the only drawback. it's a pretty solid firmware nonetheless. :)

Hey guys,
What has happened in the last 2 years that has made installing pkg's so impossible?
I'm on 4.84.2 Rebug REX CFW.
'Install all package files' doesn't work -- Installing a single package sends it to the 'downloaded content section as a bubble, which then has to install a SECOND time.

I'm not using HAN and QA is of course enabled so what the hell has happened to this firmware?

could be the packages you're trying to install. I've personally had no issues on that firmware. reinstall it if nothing else works.

I've tried reinstalling it several times.. reformatting and reinstalling but neither works

if they are pkgs that you remade (i mean something like you took a psn game you own and added updates), then you used the wrong setting somewhere...but it may not 'hurt' anything so much as just be annoying.

if they are official unedited pkgs then IDK WTF is going on LOL.

BTW if you have or can have CFW, dont ever use han or hen. cfw does everything they do and more. and cfw not only does what they do but usually does it easier/better.

remember that you can only install all packages from usb, not from the hard drive. also, some games install as a bubble. I've forgotten the name of the option, but I think it's associated with the PARAM.SFO. I think some games like that might be ones where you can install them to the ps3 or transfer them to the vita or psp. I seem to recall a copy and move option.

yeah i think the only time i have seen a bubble install is associated with a psp game (possibly a mini).

Honestly I dont know what's going on..
I didnt even know you could add updates to pkgs.

I'm using the same, unmodified pkgs that I've always had the only thing I did differently was slightly update the cfw from a lower rebug to 4.84.

I've never seen pkg install to the 'downloaded comtent' until now.
And the ps3 I'm talking about has a 'downgradable to 3.55' cech#..

Is there anything I can upload that someone can sniff through and see what's causing the issue?

Has Joonie changed anything in terms of backup installation in the later rebug releases that could be effecting it?

I have no interest in going online so should I try an older firmware like 4.78 rebug?

Thanks for your reples so far <3

Edit: also yes I am installing from the same external USB ive always used

not that I'm aware of. I think install packages is done by the nas plugin iirc, but it's been a long time.

if none of your games need newer firmware then you can try downgrading. always install pup twice when downgrading so ros areas match.

i would try reinstalling 4.84 first.

Okay i don't understand this.. but it looks like a internal HDD issue..
- I took 2 PS3's back to 3.55 OFW
- Swapped the internal HDD's over
- Installed rebug 4.84.2 on both machines and then tried a batch install..

The issue i mentioned earlier carried over to the other system.
- Can't batch install
- Installs everything as bubbles in "Package manager/PS Network content"

This is probably the strangest thing I've seen so far, can't explain it..:nightmare:
