PS2 Transferring Save Files using USB and MACBOOK

Hey all, finally dusted off the old ps2. I'm a total novice when it comes to this, so I'm hoping some of y'all can help me out: I'd like to transfer save files (mainly named rosters from sports games) from my Macbook to my ps2 slim using a usb drive. I can't find any simple way to do that since I don't have a pc and at this time am not able to run any of the Windows on Mac programs effectively. Is there any simple way to just transfer saved files using a usb stick like i would with saved files for ps3 or if not is there a "for dummies" guide to help me step by step with something more complicated?
