PS3 Transplanting PS3 Hard Drive to New PS3 Without Formatting

I used to have a PS3 CECH-3000, it has recently died, I have since then purchased a new PS3 is there any way to place the old hard drive into this console without formatting it. Alternatively is there anyway to extract save data from the drive itself through a computer?

You cannot install CFW so for both questions the answer is no.

If You could read EID Root Key, then You will be able to copy any data from HDD and even clone one drive to another via Expander script in PS3 HDD Decryption Helper. But this key cannot be get on HAN or HEN. Not today at least.

However, taking HDD from one PS3 to another is not possible because both encrypting HDD by different set of keys.
