PS3HEN Tutorial Downloading your ACt.dat and IDPS.hex on HFW 4.86.1 HEN

This is a solution for grabbing ACT.dat and IDPS.hex from your PS3 Super Slim on HFW 4.86.1 with HEN installed.
There are three things you will need to make this happen. 1. On your PS3 you will need WebMan MOD.(I use the latest version) 2. On your PC you will need Filezilla and finaly 3. On your PC you will need a hex editor (i use HxD it's free).
Steps.
1. Ftp to your PS3 using Filezilla and go to dev_hdd0\home\0000000x\exdata and from there download ACT.dat to your pc. (folder 0000000x can be 00000002 or 00000003 etc.)
2. On your PS3 go to Network\Hybrid Firmware Tools\Dump tools\Dump IDPS.
3. You will have to make IDPS.hex yourself. On your PC once again Ftp to PS3 using Filezilla then go to dev_hdd0\tmp\ and from there download the hfw_settings.log
4. Open the hfw_settings.log using any text editor (I used notepad) and copy the IDPS number.
5. Open the hex editor (I used HxD) go to file, new and then paste your IDPS number.(If program says that the file size will change simply click YES) then go to file, save as and name the file IDPS.hex.
6. That's it now you have backed up both ACT.dat and IDPS.hex.

Another easy way to obtain idps string is to install psnpatch then run it, idps will show up on screen.

For webMAN MOD users:
1- Attach an USB device FAT32 on /dev_usb000
2- Open PS3 browser and go to http://0/consoleid.ps3
or open PC browser and go to http://<ip-address-of-PS3>/consoleid.ps3

The following files will be copied to the root of /dev_usb000 (or /dev_hdd0 if there is not an USB attached)
act.dat
idps.hex
psid.hex

Then download the files to PC using FTP client or web browser (Chrome, Edge, Safari, etc.) or attach the USB device to the PC.

Wait so... if i do that, i will have backup of activated console so i don't need to activate it again once i reinstall HAN or change HDD?

And whats the process of restoring those files to activate the console if that's what you meant?

You don't need web exploitation if You already have installed CFW or HEN to dump those data. So also don't need any web tools (do not mislead by the name of WebMAN Mod ;]).

So, ill ask again. Is there a way to find idps when my ps3 cant connect to wify mobile hotspot or lan?

You can get the IDPS (after installing HFW 4.88) with the ps3xploit idps dumper.

You can get idps and act.dat (after installing HFW 4.88) with the ps3xploit act/idps dumper.
https://github.com/PS3Xploit/etHANol

But you will need a local LAN Network connection for both tools.
Another option would be to install HEN but the requirements will be the same.
