It's likely you're just looking in the wrong place. Package manager looks for PKG files in a few different locations, you just need to make sure you're selecting the right category so it looks for them on the root of your USB.

My PS3 was still on 4.81. It took the 4.85 update. Tried installing HEN and the message said fail. Tried again and second messages says "You must install hybrid Firmware (HFW) before installing HEN! TI think I missed something,

Could someone detail where should I found my ACT.dat and IDPS.hex for my RAP file?

I got no HDD inside the PS3 for reasons.

PS3 : Super Slim - Ver. 4.85.

Last Step completed : 3
As Step 4 and 5 are just "HOW TO" I'll skip them. And Step 6 is where the ACT and IDPS files are and I got no idea what they are or where to find them.

P.S.: Is there any way to install games into the USB ? I know I can load them, but Install them?

Btw, I just remember to say this, but thanks for all your hard work .

And you would probably have less work and files in your Mega Account, if you just stick with one name and overwrite that file over and over again. The URL won't change and you will have access to prev versions. ( So you won't need to update the link for this tutorial anymore ).

You can still add the Changelog inside so we, the common pleb, should be aware of the version we download and compare.

P.S.: HFW Ver. installed : 4.85.1 - Wasn't there a 4.85.2? or that's only for the 84? ( I should get some sleep now )

I started over just in case I miss something. ( But I believe I found it... Could it be an option on PS3Exploit menu - V3 Han Tools >> ACT/IDPS Dumper ? )

I think I missed something,

What I did and saved me a lot of time is:
1. Update to OFW 4.85 from Recovery Menu. [ I also Formatted. Even If I have no HDD inside my PS3SS ( Is SSPS3 a thing? Like Super Saiyan PS3... or Should I stick to PS3SS for Super Slim? ) since it also wipes of other unwanted programs from prev installations. - But I guess this is not required, probably it's just me that want a perfect ].

2. Download and Check the MD5 ( I think is MD5 ) from the HFW downloaded - The folder's name inside the rar should match with the MD5 check.

3. Update to HFW 4.85.1 from Revery Menu. [ This was bugging me out since typing : It's exactly the same if I activate the PS3 before installing HFW? or it's mandatory? I mean some people have their PS3 activated before even thinking of this, right? ]
And Keep going.

I hope this was for nothing... because if it was, then that would mean that you succeeded .

These files are created and stored in the correct location when you activate you system.
That is all you need to do for ACT and IDPS.
They are located in "hdd0:/home/000000XX/exdata/act.dat".
You just need to put RAPs in "USB0:/exdata/" and HEN will auto-activate for you.

If your running your SS without HDD then these files are stored on the 12gb onboard EMMC.

Replace the hdd with your 1tb.
Install OFW 4.85 using recovery.
Follow the guide from the very top

HI, I already have han on my ps3 but I would know if i have to update my firmware (4.82) to update han (v 0.5) to hen.

If you already have your system activated, then just follow the guide from installing OFW 4.85.

Your content and activation files should stay intact.

Hi, I have this strange issue.
I have PS3 SS, installed ofw 4.85, then hfw from this guide .... everything went smooth, but then I installed WebMAN mod (holding L1 as said in guide) and my fan went full speed all the time. I checked temperatures - about 40-45°C. I have tried restoring the system with ofw 4.85, but it did not help.
I have cleaned my PS3 like 5 gamehours ago with a fresh paste and everything was good until that WebMAN mod was installed.
Any ideas what to do? it is really annoying. Thanks
