PS3HEN [Tutorial] [PS3HEN] The Great Ps3 HEN All in One Guide

oke i got a step further now when entering the link aftter like 3 sec it tels me do you want to close the webbrowser i say yess
than i go to install package i prex X at 14 % it gives me a error code 8001003A

the steps before this i have done with 0 problems !!

wil try another usb stick mabye ??
tried 3 difrent usb stick i see the white screen again but this time ps3 freezes !
i delete cookcies and history and cash


on the root of the usb stick i have
category_game.xml
explore_category_game.rco
explore_plugin.sprx
explore_plugin_full.rco
videoplayer_plugin.sprx

on the root i also have a folder called packages < inside is
Latest_HEN_Installer_signed.pkg
readme.txt
server.py


inside the packages < there is another folder called HTML < inside is
han_flash_mount.html
han_installer.html
ps3xploit_v301.js

You should only have latest HEN in packages folder nothing else, remove all other files.

I also think you missed a step, enabling HEN

What I did this time:

In PS3 safe mode this time I did a option 5 "restore ps3 system"

I then setup the Ps3 options (language HDMI etc) and entered my PSN user details and activated console for games.

I then installed HFW_4.84.2_PS3UPDAT_03_22_2019 (two times, each time activating console for games)

I then opened ps3 browser and deleted cookies, cache and web history. Set homepage to blank.

I also set PS3 browser option start/tool/confirm browser close/off (turns off annoying press circle to close browser every time i activate HEN), now when HEN activated console returns to XMB.

I then followed The Great PS3HEN AIO Guide Part Two - HEN Installation, Enabling and Updating

I enabled HEN:
I then installed (from USB/Packages) webMAN_MOD_1.47.21_Installer.pkg.384.v1.47.21 , held down F1 and then pressed triangle and selected start.

rebooted console.

activated HEN:
I then installed (from USB/Packages) Unofficial_multiMAN_04.84.00_BASE_(20190528)_[PS3HEN]_fix-info.pkg.453.v4.84_HEN

rebooted console

activated HEN:
I then installed (from USB/Packages) IRISMAN_4.84.5_PS3HEN

rebooted console

activated HEN:
I then Installed (from USB/Packages) ManaGunz_v.1.35-J.pkg.896.v1.35-J

rebooted console.

I started up IRISHMAN did the change to 'With BDVD Controller' as this guide suggests.

console rebooted

activated HEN, started Irishman, inserted my PS3 game and choose 'Build ISO' from menu.


and you'll never believe it, this time it worked, my game runs from HD now..

Ive no idea why it didnt work before, but maybe the updates to webman and mutliman fixed my problems. Ayes a happy modder now :)

@SteveGW happy for you... but can you share the links to the update webmod and multiman? or the links of the websites you found out the updates of those 2 homebrew? thanks...
 
my ps3 super slim issue a big lag spike after i use the han installer how do i fix this? i never encounter this problem i've install han 3 times in the past months
 
any one knows where this option is cant find it

Since HEN version 2.0.2,you can now update the HEN directly on your Ps3 console.

1. Boot Ps3
2. Navigate the XMB to 'Network/Hybrid Firmware Tools/PS3HEN Updater/Update PS3HEN/' << where ?? is this
3. Select the update
4. Wait for download and installation to complete
5. Reboot Ps3
6. Enable HEN

I missed some steps here.
Enable HEN beforehand.
If you don't see' Hybrid Firmware Tools', log out of the user account and log back in. This is the ps3 system login not psn login.
Then hybrid firmware tools will appear.

This will be fixed in a later update
 
im upgrading to 4.82 HAN to 4.84. Do i need to dump act and idps again when upgrading? because i already have act and idps from 4.82 HAN. just wanna make sure.

also when you install the latest version of Webman you will see the Hybrid tools folder, and each an every time you activate HEN there after WEbman will be activated automatically, which will refresh your PS3 XMB, this in turn enabled the Hybridtools folder.
 
ive tried the ps2 classic instructions but when i launch the placeholder, the console becomes loud, the remote shutdown and my tv is saying no signal. what is going on?
 
Hi everyone! I'm a new user to the forum, but installed han about year ago (maybe) without any problems at all! I installed it following the perfect (even if now "obsolete") AIO han guide :nevreness:. At first, I wasn't even going to install "hen" because I had most of my ps1 games that I wanted setup and working, and I'm not that bothered about homebrew stuff so decided to stay with "just han". (Also, since the OFW 4.84 update, which I never did, I had already setup the "proxy work around" to go online, so that wasn't an issue either). Anyway, I'm not sure what happened (or what changed) but last week when I tried to install a .pkg, nothing happened. Didn't work. I revisited the "obsolete guide" to double check my methods (and tried different .pkgs) with no result. So maybe, I thought, somehow with the recent release of "hen", something has stopped working with "han".....? I don't know? So decided to fully commit to hen. Thinking it will solve all my problems! But still cant install .pkgs.....? :concern: I could still be doing something wrong, but before pleading for your help, I have double checked through the new hen guide a few times and tried different things. Not tried the entire install from beginning tho...? But as packages stopped installing on my precious "just han" setup (when I hadn't changed anything at all?) I'm thinking it could be a bug still in the ps3, and is now effecting the same functions on hen? Or if I try again from the start, do I need to uninstall or clear up things on the ps3 beforehand?

Thanks in advance if anyone has any tips to help :fat:

I started the whole hen install this monday, I think. And followed that guide step by step. I'm on v2.1.1.. is there a newer version already?

As I mentioned, I was pretty sure I had "han" working perfectly before, I had already installed a few ps1's and pkgs when I first got "han" setup last year. I got the hang of most of the installation methods explaind in the previous guide. Untill last week.... I tried to install a ps1 converted to pkg and it didnt work. But I hadn't installed anything for a while before then. That's what made me think "han" no longer worked, so I should move onto "hen" maybe?. Thinking that maybe one replaces the other? I dunno! :glee: So I did the whole hen installation 3 days ago.

Does it matter that I did the new hen installation on top of the "just han" setup I had before?

In regards do the pkg installation (I tried a few different pkgs), I select a pkg to install, the ps3 shows "please wait" for about 20 seconds, then goes back to XMB as if nothing happened. Never get error code or error message. Never gets to show 1% either. This was happening before I setup "hen", and also now after installing "hen" :concern:

But now on hen its easier to do ps1. It wasn't the same method before hen. I got ps1's to work with the bin and cue file straight in directory. But I cannot get "pkg" formats to install. Its like the ps3 tries for 20 seconds and gives up. With no other mention of the matter! o_O

You need to start from beginning. Your not reading things right and jumping steps, trying to take short cuts.

You need to install official firmware, the latest as per guide I linked to you.
And format the HD.

You then need to install the HFW twice..
Please just read this link.. Youll spend more time messing around than just following what I wrote.

First install shows nothing. Then you need to go package manager, then the first option. Your ps1 "bubble" is here. Install from that location, then it's done.

Ps1 pkgs instals bubble, then bubble installs game
