PS3 Ultimate toolbox issue

I'm trying to use the ultimate toolbox package to change the coldboot back to the OG from early OFW. I extracted the files directly from old OFW pups that I unpacked. So I know the files are legit.

The prompts says the files were copied successfully.

But I keep getting the normal "PS3" stock coldboot no matter what I change. I've even deleted the coldboot.raf and sounds from resources folder using the file broswer.

I am on evilnat 4.91.

Ultimate Toolbox only replaces what it's included, so it won't use any files that you have extracted.

In order to replace the coldboot files, first you must enable dev_blind write access (Evilnat's CFW Tools menu has this option included, else you can use WebMAN MOD). Then, you transfer your coldboot files to the "dev_flash/vsh/resource" folder (always make a backup of the original files, just in case).

So in Ultimate toolbox there is the option to copy the coldboot files from a USB into that directory. So would the correct way to do this be to first enable dev_blind write access and then use that option with the respective files on my USB stick?
