PS3HEN Unable to update my HEN - Error code 8002AE04

Hi there, I assume I can only post in here atm but I need to reach out and see if I can get some assistance as I am unable to update my HEN currently, due to an install error.

My auto updates are off etc but atm I cannot complete the installation via the Auto Update functionality within the Network Column -> Hybrid Firmware Tools -> PS3HEN Updater -> location.

I can view my version which appears to be 3.3.0 and I can start the download on the Update PS3 Hen option, but I get an error whenever it gets to 99% progress of the installation. Error code 8002AE04

Thanks in advance, and apologies if there is a simple solution which I've been unable to find by searching the forums and/or youtube and/or the FAQ in the latest 4.92 release page, I did follow the steps in the update HEN section but not sure what to do about this error.

Tried to edit my post but I can't seem to do it, I think I picked the wrong Prefix, can someone change it to PS3HEN please? Apologies

I can look into that. Not sure why it doesn't work anymore. You can download the package from ps3xploit.me and just install it normally with package manager to update if you want.

You can also enable auto update option under hfw tools -> maintenance and it should update to newest version on next hen launch.

Edit: maybe related to new content id in hen pkg. I'll test it when I get time

Hi there, thanks for the reply! I managed to get the hfw updated to 4.92 and then was able to get the latest HEN working, it took several attempts via the website on the PS3 but eventually managed it and it seems to be working perfectly now. I had only started using this last year so I've only done this whole process once, and I had forgotten the process of applying the firmware update via USB, so I've got that down now and the video stored for future reference. Thanks again

Hello all, wanted to make an account and chime in as I found this thread via Google and had the same issue trying to update from 3.4.0 to 3.5.0.

The solution of enabling auto update worked flawlessly for me and I'm on the latest update, thanks for the tip!

This was fixed in 3.5.0, so future updates can be done via xmb now.
