I tried again to install wmm 1.47.30 while disabling another plugins like Psn Patch, but I got "system may be corrupted" screen loop, so had to choose Restore File System from recovery. I could access to XMB but Ntfs support was broken again, so I reinstalled Rebug (4.84 this time) without uninstall wmm and got all working again, I played without problems like two hours and turned off the system, 15 minutes later turned on the console and got the freeze/system corrupted screen/broken ntfs again, so I have to reinstall 1.47.27 and all have been working flawless

Well at least that confirms that it was not a bad sectors.
IDK what could be cause the freeze, and why it worked fine after the system restore. IMO if it is a bug, it should not work even after the system restore.

After restoring system all content on HDD will be formatted, so if there was something that may corrupt it may be erase.
The main problem is why system was getting loop in "The file system on the system storage..."?

I remember that before installing new version I'm always uninstalling old one.
Then I'm downloading new version (e.g. "webMAN_MOD_1.47.30_Installer.pkg").
Installing it from PKG.
I never use update.

Does all the files after uninstalling will be deleted?
If some of the files "stay" maybe there are some "dependence"?

I mean some files may "stay" in older version causing problem...

From what I remember fan settings will not be reset after uninstalling webMAN MOD.
I mean if I set -> min fan speed 30% -> uninstall webMAN MOD -> these settings will work even after uninstalling webMAN MOD.
After installing new version settings will be reset along with fan speed.

Anyway, I have notice that You uploaded new version,
so I will check it and see how now installing new version will work.

EDIT: Installing new commit\version ("webMAN_MOD_1.47.30_Installer.pkg") seems to work fine.

Best regards and thanks for support.

Hello. I have a problem with WebMan mod 1.47.30. I was using an old version (.27 I think) and then I updated to 1.47.30 and my ps3 freezes on startup and later get the check filesystem message. When it finished I get random freezes and the ntfs external disk compatibility is broken (the ntfs disk is detected but all games freezes) so I have to uninstall webman and reinstall cfw pup to get all working again.
I have repeated the steps and I'm 100% sure that Webman mod 1.47.30 causes it. If I install 1.47.27 all works without problems
I have Rebug 4.86

Same issue aswell

webMAN MOD uses a lot of javascript, it is not recommended to turn it off.

There is a HTML tag <noscript> that can be used to show messages when javascript is not available. Example:
https://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_noscript.asp

In ps3devwiki, the following example gets the javascript status from the registry:
xsetting_CC56EB2D()->DoUnk16_GetRegistryValue(0,0x2A, &v);return v;

Sorry, but do you know what may be causing webMAN MOD to freeze my PS3 since I first used it 2 years ago?

when does it freeze?

Mainly when playing games (I have a black screen) but also on the XMB. I've tried different Rebug versions (currently, I'm on Rebug 4.84.2 CEX), different webMAN MOD versions, uninstalling webMAN MOD and other launchers (and deleting the remaining files), formatting and resetting the PS3 on the XMB, rebuilding its database and restoring its file system on the recovery menu.

This problem is random and it occurs on different occasions.

I can't imagine using a PS3 without a webMAN MOD, so thank you @aldostools for all your time spent in development of this software. If I could suggest a feature - I'm using both a dynamic fan control (when gaming) and a SYSCON (when playing media). There is a button combo which turns on the fan control, but by default an AUTO one. Since I'm using an AUTO #2 mode, I have to change it in the settings all the time. Could it be resolved by remembering the setting?

Please check if this build does what you need?

You will need to upload the sprx to /dev_hdd0/plugins

Looks like everything is working as it should. Thank you very much for your support! You are doing a great job for the scene.

my problem is scanning games external hdd with webman ,its not my hdd because games work fine with managunz

First, make sure that you have Cobra or PS3HEN enabled and that you're using the standard or full edition.

Go to /setup.ps3, expand the section "Scan for content" and put a check mark on the devices that you need to scan.

Also check the option "Disable content scan on startup".

If the external hdd is NTFS, exFAT or ext2, uncheck the option /dev_ntfs and use prepISO.

If the games are only PS3ISO or PSXISO on NTFS, check the /dev_ntfs to rely on the internal prepISO of webMAN MOD.

only thing i did was update before this version all was fine ,refresh my games en xmb freezes the ps3 wil chek /when i turn on my ps3 it says webman mod full external hdd ntfs
cant find this > If the external hdd is NTFS, exFAT or ext2, uncheck the option /dev_ntfs and use prepISO.

on webman setup page, you can click on "scan for content" and "webman mod setup"...they will expand and show the extra options aldotools mentions above.

You can check the file system connecting the external USB to the PC and opening the properties.

The option /dev_ntfs is found on the left side (under /dev_usb001, /dev_usb002, etc.) when you expand the section "Scan for content" in /setup.ps3

The settings page is http://127.0.0.1/setup.ps3

The section "Scan for content" is collapsed by default (options are hidden), you need to click on that label to expand it.

i have devusb0 chekked and devusb1 chekked dev ntfs unchekked
my games all are iso
scann for content is off
than i save setting reboot the ps3 / ok its working now i did a rescan no more freezing thanks guys

I like this feature, btw on PS3 HEN, if Enable Dynamic Fan Control, enter mmCM always freeze.
Can you be given an automatic feature if we choose mmCM automatically switch to syscon?

Thanks.

dynamic fan on hen causes freeze when lauching/stopping anything (if the fan speed changes during that time).

you can change the setting after starting a game and put it back on manual before exit...just use your phone/pc to bring up webmans settings webpage.

It would be hard to teach an 8 year old kid, lol.

Well, after rebooting and turning on the dynamic fan control by a combo, webMAN still switches to the AUTO MAX mode. So looks like after the reboot it does forget the setting.
