Upgrading HFW 4.86 to HFW 4.87

Hi everyone,

I am new to this website and I'm posting here for some guidance. My PS3 slim console is currently running on update 4.86 with HEN 3.0.2. I would like to upgrade to the 4.87 version, however I am not sure if I will lose any of downloaded content on my hard drive. Is it safe to update without losing data on my harddrive? Also, since HEN is updated to the latest version, I assume that I do not have to install it again.

Sorry, if my questions may be dumb but I am trying to update my console and I am unsure about certain things and I am hoping to get answers on this forum, thanks.

No, upgrading does not delete any downloaded content or data from HDD.

Also, since HEN is updated to the latest version, I assume that I do not have to install it again.

You have to reinstall HEN everytime after updating HFW.

OFW and HFW are basically the same with minor differences, so you can just go straight from 4.86 to 4.87 HFW and skip out installing OFW 4.87 via the internet. Once on HFW 4.87 you can then reinstall HEN.
