PS3 HAN [VERY] Simple Way To Direct Connect PS3 To PC

OMG! This is where i always have problem because mine deosnt have show ethernet so now at this point how do set it up for me to transfer my pkg via Ethernet cable all tutorial are not helping at all thanks

OK so but it is saying cable unplugged so I should what next just so you know I really do appreciate it if you help me I have lost hope if I click the first one then what is next please help me am new to this

OK I should go to ps3 and then put ip just like that then after that do I need internet connection?

Yes. if you have entered manual IPs on both then it should work.

You could try disable other adaptors like the blackberry and wifi until you get it working.

When you start the app, Pkg Linker 2.0 should show 192.168.0.2 at the top, then hit start server. Then install the package_list.pkg on ps3 and reboot. That is it.
 
I did but the stupid thing won't obtain when I want to test the connection it won't obtain IP it will say failed honestly I'm even tired of that nonsense others seems fine but when it comes to my own I will be getting error

Like I said, YOU put in the IP on PS3. it does not "obtain" it anywhere. Also there is no point testing connection, you are not connected to the net so how do you expect that to work anyway.

Thanks it worked it was my PC Ethernet port that was faulty so kind of used something to press it now its copying I'm so happy

Which actual speeds are people achiveing using this method?

I connect everything though the my gigabit router, and archieve approx 140mbit/s (~17MB/s). Also I have SSD in my PC, so no bottleneck there.
Not too bad speed, but if direct connection yields more, I'm all up for it.
Also gigabit allows for up to 1000mbit/s, so I believe its the PS3 not capable of more than around 140mbit/s, which is not the best.
My router allows me to transfer 900mbit/s to my NAS, so also no bottlenecks there.
