webMAN MOD

PS3 webMAN MOD - General Information Thread 1.47.48q

Only webMAN MOD applies the demo patch (the executable is renamed with an X in the 4th byte).

If you uninstall webMAN MOD and mount the PS2 game with multiMAN or ManaGunZ, the ISO should not be patched.

Hong Kong and CECHA sounds correct.

Really weird. I'm going to delete the file completely and then copy it over again. Will report back later.

Could it be that Cobra does something funky in the background? Because every single backup launcher i tried reacts completely the same. They all change the executable to SCUX. I somewhat doubt that all the devs would use the same method.

Is there a cache or something i can empty?

I'd much rather not boot into a seperate interface to boot my games. That's why i love WebMan. But if we can't get this done I'll just live without it. Since these days the online services are gone anyway it doesn't really matter.

It's possible to add new feature like cooldown shutdown?
With some pad commbination, fan start to cooldown for example to 50° C and then shutdown

What for? To extend life of our console ;)

It is possible to configure custom combos that execute batch scripts or multiple web commands separated by a semicolor (;).

https://www.psx-place.com/threads/webman-mod-web-commands.1508/

e.g. save the text file /dev_hdd0/tmp/wm_combo/wm_custom_l2_r2_circle with the following text:
/cpursx.ps3?fan=50;/wait.ps3?5;/shutdown.ps3

I feel like 65 degrees minimum is too much and needs to be lowered to 60 by default. @aldostools

The normal temperature of PS3 is around 70-75°C.

webMAN MOD sets 68°C as the default target temperature for dynamic fan control on CFW to keep the system cool with an acceptable noise level.

For HEN, the default is manual fan control at 35%.

I have mentioned countless times that there are many factors that influence in these settings: sku model, environment temperature, airflow, state of thermal paste, etc. etc.

I have set some initial values that have been agreed upon in the forums. They may work for some users, but not for everyone. Simply because there is not an universal setting. webMAN MOD setttings should be configured by each user according to their own needs.

60°C could be acceptable for a superslim if you live on high latitudes. The noise wouldn't be acceptable for tropics, fat models or old slims with original thermal paste.

So I deleted the PSX bioses from dev_flash thinking I was on my USB flashdrive window on multiman, is there a way to recuperate them? now PSX game return to the XMB when booting with WebMAN MOD

You can extract the ps1_rom.bin from the PUP and copy the file back to dev_blind using FTP.

Reinstalling the firmware should fix the issue too. If you're using HEN, you need to install hfw + hen.

I'm on evilnat 4.90, will try the PUP method 1st. Another question, if I click both bios checkmarks on WebMAN MOD setup the games will booot on the best one or what? Wanted to use the new PSP one but don't know it it's using it

So ended up just re-installing the FW and now PSX games boot from WebMAN but I'm still confused as to how I use the ps1_bios.bin (PSXONPSP660.BIN).

If the option ps1_bios.bin is checked in /setup.ps3 the PS1 emulator will boot with the PSX bios for PSP. That simple.

Remember to save settings to take effect.

When I do that it says PS1_selfemu when mounting the CUE/BIN so that means the new one replaced that?

I haven't experienced that message. If you have the option ps1_bios.bin checked in /setup.ps3, the PS1 games should be using the external bios.

Today I uploaded a new build that allows to select the external bios only on specific PS1 games. In this case ps1_bios.bin can stay unchecked in /setup.ps3 and the external bios will be mapped automatically only for the games containing the tag [bios] in the file name of the CUE/BIN.

Thanks I'll upgrade tomorrow and put the tag on a couple of games to try. So I'm not crazy then lol, with the check mark on netemu the games use it but if the check mark is on bios.bin or no check marks it says self emu in the notification and if I'm not wrong the new bios doesn't say SCEA or SCEE at the bottom of the boot screen

Whenever i use prepISO, after my PS3 restarts, it freezes at the "sparkles" (and sometimes at the "wave" ribbon). I have to force my system off. I cannot use my NTFS formatted hdd that worked before.
