webMAN MOD

PS3 webMAN MOD - General Information Thread 1.47.48q

Thank you for the explanation.

So here's the thing, I was playing an online game yesterday on the PS3 and a "hack/modified player" came in, he was telling another player that he had taken his IP and was going to delete everything from the PS3.

Does this mean that in this case, he would simply enter the IP address of that other person in the web browser, for example: 1.1.1.1:21 and he would have access to the webman's remote services?

If it's really that simple, I'd better be careful too.

I have already answered:
- Yes, if you have open the port 21 or 80 in your router for inbound traffic.
- No, if you have it open only for LAN.

@aldostools , 15 days ago, I forgot that I was logged in to PSN and I entered the webman mod while logging in to PSN.

This lasted about 30 seconds until I remembered I was logged into PSN. I quickly turned off the PS3. Do you think I'm at risk?

How long does the ban usually take after that? If I haven't been banned so far, does that mean this hasn't been "detected" by Sony and I'm safe?

Only Sony knows how and when to ban an user or console. It would be speculation if someone tells yes or no.

There are known conditions that increase the chances of a ban:
- Log into PSN with CFW syscalls enabled: when you login there are reports that the syscall table is sent back to Sony with your idps and other information.
- Some online titles like CoD Black Ops 2, Destiny 2, GTAV, etc. are known games that detect LV2 poke (syscall 6).
- Cheating online (specially in these games) or using mods is almost sure you can be banned.
- Using duplicated IDPS (e.g if you bought it from someone that sold it to many players)
- Having bad behavior with other players is another ban reason, but it's unrelated to CFW.

There are reports of players that never disable CFW syscalls, download content from PSN store and "never" have been banned (until one day they are). There are also reports of CFW users that followed the recommendations and were banned without "apparent" reasons.

It's difficult to tell if for 30 seconds online your console was flagged or not. It could be flagged, but not banned until the next ban wave that could be in few days, weeks, months or could never occur (specially if you didn't play any game). All the recommendations about PSN are simply to be on the safe side and *reduce* the risks.

So if I want to protect myself more. Do I just get a random IDPS on the internet, replace the values in webman in the "IDPS & MEM setup" section and check the box next to it?

The "IDPSet" software has become obsolete, correct? Since the webman mod is capable of changing IDPS.

It is recommended that you use real IDPS obtained from a trustworthy source (e.g. an old broken PS3)

Using random IDPS from internet could result in your PSN account being banned. These random IDPS usually are already banned.

IDPSet hasn't been updated officially for 4.89 or 4.90.
It is used to store the IDPS permanently in flash memory, whereas webMAN MOD only patches the IDPS in LV2 memory.

You can put the ISO on the remote folder PS2ISO and webMAN MOD will copy it locally prior mount it. I don't remember if I added support for remote PS2 Classics .BIN.ENC

You can add support for remote ps2iso/or iso.bin.enc??? or I can do anything to can do this?? ((I'm very interested on load ps2 iso from nas, because if can ps2 launch all playstation consoles can be loaded with multimanmod from nas!)) Thanks again! @aldostools !!

Did you actually tried to mount the remote PS2 game? webMAN MOD is supposed to first copy the remote PS2 game to the internal HDD when the game is mounted. Then the PS2 game is mounted from the internal HDD.

multiMAN does not support mounting remote PS2 games.

Yes @aldostools I know the webman mod copy the ps2 iso to internal hdd but I try to load them from nas (like ps3 or ps1 games) without copy the data to internal hdd (because If you want to use many ps2 isos if you copy you dont have internal hdd space for other ps3 installations, patch, dlcs and more......I want to load the ps2iso from nas)

The PS2 emulator only can read the PS2 ISO from the internal HDD. That's why the ISO is first copied to dev_hdd0 from the remote server before launch the game.

As the PS2 emulator replaces LV2 kernel, all VSH plugins are unloaded. Therefore the ps3netsrv connection is lost when the PS2 emulator starts.

Ok, ps2 will imposible to load from nas using ps3netserver -_-'''''''
When I try to load psn games extracted to GAMEI some games are black screen and cant launch..... I copy the edat in ps3 and registrer rap but my question is need to copy this raps and edats to any directory in nas to load them at the same time than game?? Like GAMEI/edats/ or GAMEI/exdata/??? Try to solve the black screen bug! Thanks for all @aldostools

The NPDRM games need to be registered on the PS3. The registration occurs automatically when you download the PKG from PSN Store or if you put the RAP file in the folder /dev_usb000/exdata or /dev_usb001/exdata or /dev_hdd0/exdata (if HEN or Cobra 8.3 or later is used)

When an extracted PKG game is launched from GAMEI folder, the game is mounted in the debug folder /app_home. The games usually looks for the resources like trophy, edats, audio, etc. in /app_home, /dev_bdvd and /dev_hdd0,

The black screen typically happens with NPDRM games or game updates designed to run from /dev_hdd0/game when they don't find some of the source files because only the path /dev_hdd0 is hardcoded in the EBOOT, self, sprx or edat.

This is not the unique reason, but it's one of the most common. Other reasons include bad signed files, corrupted files, error reading, cross linked files, error mapping paths, split files 666xx found, etc. Some games simply are not compatible with GAMEI.

Just an idea, is it possible to mount to "PSN Launcher" like PSP/PS2 Launcher?

Thanks.

Thanks.

That was precesely the initial idea of ROMS/PKG Launcher. ROMS are currently mounted using that concept.

Later I found that PSN games could be launched mounting the folder to /app_home and I opted for that launch method for PSN games.

When installing latest Webman Mod on HEN, there is a fixed fan speed of 35 % but most of the 3xxx and 4xxx series don't need such high speed . Can this be disabled by default or at least lowered to 30 % ?

Use 0/setup.ps3 to configure webMAN MOD with the settings of your preference.

Hello Aldo, is it possible that you change the default setting to 30% or SYSCON ? Just an experimental build if you don't want it permanent . I also made a poll for people to vote Webman Poll (sli.do) . Happy holidays to you .

Here is your test build of the full edition. You can repack the installer if you want.
