PS2 What if I use freemcboot memory card as a normal memory card?

Hi there,

I installed freemcboot on the internal HDD of my PS2. Since I don't need anymore my freemcboot memory card, can I use it as a normal memory card to save games files? Since I don't want to loose the freemcboot inside the memory card, I read somewhere that using the freemcboot memory card to save the games states, it will delete the freemcboot software. Is that true?

Thanks

This is not possible. You misleading FMCB with FHDB.

Yes.

Not true.

If You will install (add to FHDB) hacked HDD OSD, You can also copy saves from PS2/PSX MC to HDD in official way (to "hdd0:/__common/Your Saves/"). Eventually You can export/import saves to *.psu containers and storing it wherever You want. And, You don't need real card anyway for saving, just using VMC and OPL/mcsioemu.
