What is your internal ps3 drive a 500GB or a 1 TB?
What type of setup do you have to store your games?
Do you have a large 10TB/20TB drive?
Or do you use many drives in the 500GB to 2TB range?
How do you organize your games? Alphabetical/Year of Release date/Genre/Games you play the most?

I use a 4TB (FAT32) external, even though it is not preferred due to instabilities. In situation of messing around with important system files or when moving games from one drive to another, a crash can occur that is able to corrupt all files on the external and sometimes part of the internal drive causing need for file system restore.

So while it is 4TB, I try not to exceed tested limit of about 2.2TB which is usually the mark where random crashing of the external becomes a lot more likely.

More ideal for people who just like to game (so long as you store duplicates of your backed up games on additional drives as well)

But not as ideal for those dealing with coding inside of every nook, cranny and crevice of the PS3.

I use NAS as I ran out of storage many times. No more file system limitations and works for my other hacked systems.

1TB 72000RPM internal Seagate HDD mostly with PS2 titles and PS3 game installs, 2TB External USB Seagate HDD for PS3 iso's and PS1 cue/bin collections, 256GB FAT32 Flash Drive for general functionality and downloading thoughtlessly.
All on a PS3 Phat.
It works for the most part. I need to do something about its cooling situation, it sounds like an air conditioning unit.

I just recently hacked my ps3 so still has the OEM 120gb drive that came with the slim, but I'm going to get a 1TB internal soon and transfer everything over. I use a usb drive to put ps1 games on there.
