why some ps3 run cooler than others?

hey guys, just a little question here. why some machines run cooler than others?
I got 2 BC samples: CECHA01 (134 days); CECHE01 (24 days). both delidded(CELL/RSX)with MX6.

its kinda hot here 30-35C, so... i keep webman with high fan speeds.

the A01 in iddle get 65C/55C CELL/RSX (40% fan) while E01 gets the same result with 33% fan... same place/circumstances.

why? just remind... both with same MX6, original stock thermal pads, same fan model, no dust inside. I even swapped the heat sinks and the IHS (maybe for some warping?) with eachother and.... no changes at all...

so.. this is the silicon lottery they say?

Silicon lottery. Not every cpu/rsx is the same even from the same batch.

Old fat PS3s (CECHA-CECHE) have 90nm process which is very hot and consumes a lot of electricity, and newer PS3s use 65nm, 45nm, 40nm even 28nm, which cooler than 90nm.
