PS3 www.playstation.com = error 80710a06

hi

i try to navigate to the page www.playstation.com but i have this error 80710a06

i try google.com it works

(in case : yes i set my time by internet ^^)


maybe is is because i jailbreak ? like in the CFW the developper probably block this adress not because my ps3 is ban. right ? i have to disable an option in the CFW to allow me to navigate to playstation.com ?

another question in case i get back my PSN account (get deleted in past not because get ban..) what steps i have to do to connet by my ps3 jailbreaked cfw 4.91 [PEX] [CEX] to the PSN ? is like a cache to clean or something and activate or disable something ?

EDIT: i try to connect on www.playstation.com to go to the PSN login because a user told me to check if my 2nd used ps3 is ban is the steps to do. i just get the ps3 slim 2504B​

i see here MrMario have the same issue (i think before JB the ps3...

no. modern web browsers use large amount of memory and ps3 only has 256 MB.

there is a "textify" service that strips websites down to text-only, but it are useless on most sites due to javascript and other technologies used by websites.

Swap to CEX XMB, don't know why DEX VSH doesn't work, maybe @Joonie or @Evilnat can patch it.

This is caused by DEX vsh.self certificates (SSL), I need to check it again. You can swap it to CEX vsh.self to get it working

thank you for your answer, im using the 4.91.0 [PEX] [CEX] is not DEX this right ? i d ont know what mean vsh.self :)
 
This page doesn't work anymore in the PS3 web browser, it uses HTML5 and it's not supported by the old webkit that we use.

AFAIK

There's no new PS3 WebKit you can use and even if there was (one could attempt a complex recompile of the oss WebKit source code, I tried that before and it's not an easy task as is, never mind trying to port a more recent version!!), it would not solve all the issues because the SSL transactions are handled by VSH and its modules.

IF an issue comes from an expired certificate but the new certificate still uses compatible encryption standards then it should be feasible to patch vsh.self (and possibly some module??) to allow it.
BUT IF a new certificate uses newer encryption standards unsupported natively by the PS3 (soon enough to be all newly issued certs) then the official browser won't ever be able to use them without some quite extensive patching & additional code.

A way out of this would be to use a homebrew browser, doing SSL on its own using its own cert store and encryption routines.
 
btw, if you read the CREDITS txt file inside sysconf folder, there is something said about the source code of webkit and where it is available, or at least on which it is built on
