I bought a CECHL Silk Silver. I had a dead RSX CECHH Frankie, so I took out its parts and tried to install them into the CECHL. Although they are very similar but they don't actually fit. like heatsinks...the heatsinks on the CECHH RSX side can be installed on to CECHL frame, but the Cell side...
I really like using this method on Phat models, and even on my Frankie. It reduces heat generation and fan speed, which also means lower operating noise.
It's definitely worth doing, less heat generation means a longer lifespan for electronic components.
No side effects have been found with...
When there is a 5V line short circuit on the motherboard, the PSU will immediately enter protection mode and will not output any voltage. It will take several minutes to recover.
I don't think it's a good idea, especially for very thin ones. You'll find that the contact surface between the heat sink and the IHS on many PS3s is not very flat.
During the mod process, I encountered the message that the controller could not be sync and the connection error was reported. The ribbon cable was damaged. After replaced the ribbon cable it still not working. when i checking the circuit, I found that the added TH3702 was damaged... replaced it...
I changed the IDPS and EEPROM then downgraded. After entering FSM mode, I got stuck FSM because the added component seemed to be making WIFI board hogging USB bus, preventing the USB drive from being recognized. Removing the Wi-Fi/BT module allowed me to update through FSM and exit FSM. Now the...
Make sure the ribbon cable and power cable are connected correctly. You can check if the power cable has the correct +12v and +5v voltages. Also... you have received a moderator warning, please use the translation tool to post.
You need to use the error message to determine which component is causing the update loop. You need to troubleshoot the problem to complete the update, otherwise it will continue to loop.
If you're sure the OC firmware is causing the YLOD, try increasing the voltage. I set 40nm RSX at 1.45V before. I'm not sure about the voltage tolerance of 90nm RSX. If you've set a frequency over 800MHz, I don't think it's possible to recover by increasing the voltage, as a 90nm RSX can barely...
