PS3 4.70 HABIB-COBRA v1.00 (CEX) CFW

Following up the release of 4.70 HABIB (CEX) Standard CFW a couple of weeks ago, custom firmware (CFW) developer HABIB has a new Cobra CFW that he has released to the PS3 community.. 4.70 HABIB-COBRA (Starbucks) v1.00 (CEX) CFW comes with an updated Cobra (v7.10) that has improved the Controller Sync Issues on PS2 ISO for the user's who has experienced issues on the previous fixes. Also the addition of the recently [break]ss[/break] updated PS3 Manager API (PS3M_API) Core to v1.2.0 has been applied to this firmware. Improvements to PSX Games on Cobra and a bit more can be seen in the information provided below:

the perfect way I've found to download is using astraweb via nzb (usenet) while also having a block account with tweaknews. that = no dmca takedowns ever. u download most with astraweb, but whenever certain articles r not downloaded due to dmca, tweaknews will pick up the rest using very little of ur block account. it's by far the best way to pirate. u can download year old stuff with no issues.

Yes if you use this software correct is safe to go on psn. Of course there is no 100% that you don't get ban, like on any other CFW.

But i'm having some issue, somethimes shuting down the ps3, it give me 2 beeps and when i'm start the console again, it says that needs to check the files because had a wrong shutdown (its random).

I've installed the cfw by xmb.

It happens to anyone else?

Try formatting your flash drive and reinstall the firmware. You can also disable that check from QA settings and reports home to Sony as well in that options menu.

 

I've done more tests and seems to me that is something with psnpatch plugin... Because every time i use it to disable cfw the ps3 doesnt shutdown normaly

New tests done, and seems to me that the latest mod webman is the cause of my problems... using the latest psn and the webman mod 1.40.26 (that comes with psnpatch) i dont have any issue, when i update the webman to 1.40.30 the issue appears... so, i've installed again the version that comes with psnpatch and my ps3 came back to normal.

 

In Webman MOD 1.41.28 [MENTION=89]aldostools[/MENTION] made some memory usage tweaks, maybe there is problem. If you have time you can test 1.41.27 and 1.41.28 for your issue. I'm sure this will help developer to fix this in future releases.

I've made that test but with the version 1.40.26 and 1.40.30

No, i didnt had any psx/ps2/psp game mounted.

To replicate i just have to upgrade webman to 1.40.30 and unload webman / disable cfw with psn patch with the combo L2+R2+R3.

Try one thing: disable CFW with PSNPatch but don't unload webman (disable that option in setup).
