PS3 4.70 HABIB-COBRA v1.00 (CEX) CFW

Following up the release of 4.70 HABIB (CEX) Standard CFW a couple of weeks ago, custom firmware (CFW) developer HABIB has a new Cobra CFW that he has released to the PS3 community.. 4.70 HABIB-COBRA (Starbucks) v1.00 (CEX) CFW comes with an updated Cobra (v7.10) that has improved the Controller Sync Issues on PS2 ISO for the user's who has experienced issues on the previous fixes. Also the addition of the recently [break]ss[/break] updated PS3 Manager API (PS3M_API) Core to v1.2.0 has been applied to this firmware. Improvements to PSX Games on Cobra and a bit more can be seen in the information provided below:

New tests done, and seems to me that the latest mod webman is the cause of my problems... using the latest psn and the webman mod 1.40.26 (that comes with psnpatch) i dont have any issue, when i update the webman to 1.40.30 the issue appears... so, i've installed again the version that comes with psnpatch and my ps3 came back to normal.

I got exactly your issue with latest psn and webman mod 1.40.31, Habib cobra 4.70. I will test with webman 1.40.26 as your suggestion then confirm the result.

Try one thing: disable CFW with PSNPatch but don't unload webman (disable that option in setup).

I've made that test, and if i do as you say, no issue at all, but, activating the combo again on last webman, the issue appears (Tests was done with the latest psn patch and the latest webman)

That is normal, i'm not sure (must ask aldo) but eventually a payload can stay in memory after unloading webman, that can latter provoke your issue.
The best approadch is to leave webman running even after disabling cfw - there's no harm in it - it is what I do with my ps3

Ok, i can do that, but i think that the best is unmount everything we can to go online, no? And if it works on .26 version what it don't work on .30? :/
I'll do a reply on webman topic to see if aldo can replicate and resolve the problem

You don't need to spoof, but you still need to use some app to cleaning syscalls etc. Like psnpatch or sen enabler.

I still struggle with webman and any form of ps2/psp launcher.
Turns webman into an empty folder so to speak.

For some reason having the placeholder installed and show ps2 launcher enabled in webman causes a meltdown.
Uninstall your ps2 launcher, untick show ps2 launcher in webman, then reinstall your launcher.

If you don't have any of those launchers then I'm not sure...

I installed Habib cobra yesterday through the normal xmb when and did a database rebuild and default settings restore but i found a 'file corrupt' file or app on the game menu where u have the apps n launchers i deleted it and proceeded to play shadow of modor only to get a message saying the saved data belonged to another use and trophy snyc n auto save add been turned off. so i have to delete and start a new game. I tried updating my PES2015 i get a green screen (i noticed the green screen always appears before any game is loaded. i used webman mod) and the game loads to say theres a new update but when i try to update i get a quick double beep and the system restarts itself. well i reinstalled Habib cobra again but this time from recovery mode and i was eventually able to update the PES2015. so am still observing to see if theres any issues. i have the latest psnpatch installed and webman mod 1.41.30 and multiman.

 

To update PES, you have to do it by irisman or Multiman, by the official way is not posible.
what was the last cfw that you had [MENTION=1014]wesleyel[/MENTION]? because the sintoms that you are saying, is corrupt data files or corrupt save files, cobra 7.02 did that to some games

I was on habib cfw 4.70 standard. I only went to cobra cos i needed webman mod and also wanted to try out some ps2 games plus my FIFA15 sound was lagging abit and froze the game one time.

Plus when i was on rebug 4.65v2 i update PES the official way with no hassle, as i did with FIFA15 and other games. maybe that might be the reason for the lag i later started experiencing on fifa15.

Is it HABIB 4.70 cobra specific issue? Or the same for Darknet Cobra?

I've seen some reports regarding game update causing issues on habib, for ex) Cod AW and GTA 5.

However my version of 4.70 does not suffer from this issue. I wonder what causes this problem..

Edit: while i was on habib standard cfw 4.70 when ever i was playing a game with the habib vers of irish i noticed my power led indicator changing from green to white or yellow and then back to green and then back to the color again. my system wasnt over heating or anything. Pls these are just my personal observation and i appreciate the efforts of everyone here most especially the devs.

That is IRiS's fan controller payload changing LED which works fine so don't worry about it

When you disable LED it causes another bug that makes fan stay with one speed which can cause YLOD on old phat systems
