PS3 4.78 FERROX CFW (Standard CEX) v1.00 by Alexander

PlayStation 3 CFW developer Alexander has released the latest version of his FERROX CFW, following the release of PLAYERKP420's 4.78 CFW. This CFW from Alexander while a Standard CEX also (like platerkp420's) does contain some additional features and patches for PS3 Custom Firmware users. In this edition of FERROX the developer has Disabled Cinavia, Removed Epilepsy Warning on the console boot, A new feature in FERROX firmware is an Integrated Package Manager to replace the standard Install Package Files. [strike]Now unlike playerkp420's CFW this does not handle MAMBA in the current form and according to test done in the developer's notes MAMBA v2.1.5 "Identified a Brick. Do not use FOR SAFETY UNTIL NEXT UPDATE.". [/strike] [break]ss[/break],

UPDATE: Alexander has mentioned that MAMBA is working fine and does not cause any bricks, the message was from a test build and accidenettly applied to the news source location.

Which method is safer to go online?I'm using ferrox 4.76 with sen enabler 5.9.2 and spoofing to 4.78 or should I install this cfw and use sen enabler without spoof?

you sure you got it setup like this

PS3/UPDATE/UPDAT.PUP

if so make sure you have right pup if on cex or dex
since you have converted to dex you will need a dex firmware
or else it will say data not found

I don't know when exactly you get that brick, but you probably need install Rebug 4.76.1 D-REX. As your ps3 is now probably in dex mode.

Thank you very much, Mr kozarovv, stussy reinstalled cfw aa D-REX 4.76 and everything is back to normal, the homebew: XMB Wave MOD 4. XX CFW, cfw habib 4.76 works perfectly, rebug converted to DEX semi-brick when customizes xmb waves.
