    UPDATE v1.01 & v1.01+

After considering the reports of some users, alexander updated version 1.01. Console on some fact was not syncing the controller to 'start, if you turn on the console via the Wireless Controller in the same mode. In fact, using the cable, or turning on with POWER button, the problem would not show up. Well, the problem was solved. This problem had previously seen on some firmware. The problem was in the TAR. On the advice of Developer Habib, and Evilnat collaboration, here we give the revision 1.01+

    CHANGELOG v1.01 +
    • Fixed the Controller to sync Boot via the Wireless Controller for PS button.
    • Fixed XMB InGame.

We thank the users and developer who helped Test. If you aiutassimo more often at each other in the PS3 scene, between Developer and Tester, it would be a different story. Special thanks to Atreyu and Kozárov by PSX-Place site, for testing on older FAT Console. A big thank you also to our @mizio90 for the 'Installer. It must be said that the new version of the CFW was ready already for a while, but I did make late because of the 'Installer
Thanks Habib and Evilnat for your cooperation to fixed the Controller's question.

You are mistaken, CCAPI did not create a ftp connection. There is no ftp server in Ccapi.
You used either webMAN-MOD or a standalone ftp plugin loaded into vsh but not CCAPI directly.
i dont know, but i tried connecting before i installed & didnt work then i installed it, rebooted, & i was able to connect even when on the xmb menu. ftp was automatically checked in webman when i installed it, but i still couldnt connect before hand

So i tried to install this cfw over my 4.80 ferrox cobra, but it freezes in 99%. Now, everytime i switch the ps3 on it automatically starts the update and freezes in 99% . Recovery menu is the same, start the update automatically and freezes on 99%. Someone PLEASE HELP ME, i dont want to lose my cfw !!!!!

Did you check the md5 sum of the pup file?

No, and when the ps3 is about to start the recovery menu (holding the power button until the 3 bips), its starts updating in the recovery menu mode
Well start by checking that the pup is not corrupted with a md5 checker.

What kind of message do you get?
Does it ask to reinstall the CFW?

i checked it now with 2 programs and the number of MD5 matches. I get no message, it just freezes on 99% anda when i turn my ps3 on its just start directly into the instalation, no XMB menu.

Like a loop? In recovery mode & always freezing at 99%?
Have you tried using another USB device? The recommended device is a USB pendrive/stick/key/dongle whatever you call it.
You should avoid using a hdd for instance..

Exactly, like a loop! And yes, tried with 2 pendrives but i think that the ps3 are using the update file from inside the HD, and not the update from the usb (That are the same by the way, because when we go to update, the ps3 copy the update file to its internal HD).

Before anything, this is the fix I suggest but don't blame me if anything goes wrong.. It should not go wrong but one never knows...
You are responsible for your own console as usual ok?

I have an option that worked for me in the past & should do the same for you but you need a 2nd hdd, any size will do.

You just install the pup when it freezes at 99%. Switch off the console. Swap the internal hdd with your spare.
Restart the console, it should install the CFW without problems, wait until you get to the language selection screen.
Switch off the console but leave your USB key in the USB port all the time.
Swap the hdd again. Now your old drive is back in the ps3.
Switch back on.
You should get an error & a screen asking you to press Start+Select to reinstall the CFW.
Go ahead with the installation...
Hopefully it works now...

You can also look in hdd1:/ if you habe your eID root key to view the contents on your PC and wipe any update that may be stuck in there. That helped me when I didnt have a spare HDD to do as @bguerville suggested.

I saw something like that in other forums, but i think that he continues the instalation until end, and not just until the language selection. So i will have to buy another HD, i think that this is the correct to do anyway. I Will lost all my save games? when i restart the console (after the half instalation in the spare hd), i will install the cfw in recovery menu or the ps3 will ask for cfw (start + select)
