PS3 4.81 STARBUCKS (+ COBRA 7.50) v1.02 CFW by habib

Following the release of 4.81 Starbucks v1.00 & v1.01 & his recent work with Fake Save Date/Game Quit Popups for REBUG CFW, developer HABIB has now turned his attention to COBRA once again and thus released a new version (v1.02) of his "Starbucks" firmware with an updated COBRA (v7.50) payload that of course comes with some new features included. The dev has included a new feature in the CFW that does not require the use of lv2 peek and other methods to get your console IDPS & also applied some patches that were once exclusive to MLT 's Firmwares. Cobra v7.50 adds some new functionality by adding PS2 ISO that are decryptted "Config Support", Backwards comparable console now will be allowed to use "ps2 netemu with cobra opcode 0x1ee9", Plus some additional PS2 changes for BC and Semi BC consoles.

Another interesting change includes will make updating to applications to work with Cobra easier as "modules can be updated, no more hash update needed", which should save developer's some time when supporting the payload. Additional details can be found below in HABIB's release quote

I did not know that there are instances where the software emulation is better than hardware for certain games. That's really cool functionality @habib ! I will for sure test this out. I have an idea with this, would it be possible to have the PS3 load the net_emu on game-by-game basis? If I found a use for this, it could become annoying to change this setting back and forth. I'm not complaining though!

Use latest webman MOD test build for that.

- Added option to mount PS2ISO with netemu on B/C consoles using Cobra
7.5 (use the tag [netemu] in the file name)

i didnt see this in any of the notes but can i assume ps1 and psp emulation still works since the ps2 games do? i just want to make sure before i update.
thanks for everyones contributions in the scene.

I have not used habib 4.81 Cobra yet so I cannot confirm 100% however I am using the Cobra 7.50 binariy from habib's cfw on Rebug in CEX mode right now & if I am not mistaken my psp games can be mounted... I will check how they run in a while...
Not sure why psp support was broken after 4.76 because it was working on Rebug, it's a question for @habib actually...
Master @habib can you enlighten us on the subject..?? And clarify the current psp/ps1 support on 4.81?

Dont use this cfw binary on rebug, the hashes are so static in my cfw that cex/dex vsh hash is same xD

And yeah psp/1 works fine obviously

I was only using your binary on Rebug because Joonie asked me to...
For testing purposes of course... Lol
Obviously users should not do this...

Hi Joonie, I've was holding off from upgrading from HABIB 4.75 COBRA V4 as it solved the video mode not suppotred error on some pal Psx titles. I just updated to 4.81 STARBUCKS v1.02 to get Cobra 7.5. I was hoping the ps1emu in cobra 7.5 would have fixed that video mode error but no luck. I know I could switch to Rebug but I've always prefered the Habib CFWs. Is there a manual way patch to patch it?

Thanks.
MM

Umm, what habib did was actually disabling that video mode fix to fix the issue with video mode. LOL I know it sounds weird, but this only happens on NAND models as it seems.

I can create a new payload that can remove the video mode fix..

Only drawback, it causes framedrops or frame-up on some games.

Hey Wow!! If you don't mind, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!!!
