PS3 4.82 Overflow cfw collection

tried again.psx .bin's work via webman from internal hdd (PSXISO folder),if you're using maybe is the trick to enable upscaler and all resolutions via display settings.this is the first cfw in a while for me that can play psX .bin's,so that's awesome.

ps2 ISO's don't work via webman (internal hdd,PS2ISO folder),i didn't try multiman and other launchers, because i'm looking to do all via webman or some other solution directly from xmb without messing with launchers.

so,if you can fix ps2 iso's via webman it really would be perfect.

always backup and do full system restore via recovery menu after flashing new cfw's.

and thanks for great work!

Thank you for your feedback,
I will look into the ps2iso issue,
Is working on nor models, I am guessing you maybe have a nand model (I hear of this issue before once),
If you tell me your full cech model I can start to correct the issue.

nope, was looking for dual boot.
says you can still run games off of you're hdd and install packages should be there.. unless im misreading it. just trying to find a way to not get banned as easily by having the ps3 act like its not modified.

That was my fault, I forgot to edit that readme.txt for dualboot,
I have corrected it now, thank you.

sorry,my bad,cech-c04.

edit:

some more testing, updating to latest webman mod breaks ps3 iso's on external ntfs.stick to integrated overflow version and install latest prepNTFS and everything works, except ps2 iso's.

I installed v5 with nobd as mine is not working. however when I go to game and it loads back to xmb no game or apps/ps3 to go to game any ideas?
thank you

On the day of the 4.82 ps3 update I have made some updated cfws,
They now have been uploaded ready for download,
All have been tested but as with all cfw use at your own risk (I think is what I am meant to say),
Inside each download is breakdown of features for each cfw and extra info you need to know,

As always thank you to supporters for kind words.

Downloads here:
Overflow 4.82 v1 Standard CEX
Overflow 4.82 v2 Dual Boot
Overflow 4.82 v3 Standard CEX nobd
Overflow 4.82 v4 cobra 7.3 CEX
Overflow 4.82 v5 cobra CEX nobd
any way to get this specific XMB look on Rebug? It looks SO nice!!

So how do I install another CFW on top of this? I don't even have a package manager wtf is this? If I go to system update and install another, won't that overwrite it?

you can install ferrox on top of this or qa flag, then install rebug and use sen enabler to spoof. not sure why you're having issues. the install packages option is in category_game.xml. that's located in dev_blind/vsh/resource/explore/xmb/category_game.xml. it's near the bottom (at least in rebug).

You can install Ferrox Cobra 4.82 directly from XMB (Remove any bd disk and disable the internet to avoid OFW updates).
As for the package manager, it seems to me that overflow, do not use it.

updates read from the version.txt. official updates will just have the version number, but say rebug will say rebug 4.81 re . that's how you'll know if you're about to install an official update. it would only say 4.81.

I ended up fixing it by installing rebug 4.81.2 on top of 4.82 ferrox on top of overflow dualboot cfw 4.82. I'm not sure if the overflow is still even here or how i activate that when i want a more 'vanilla' looking system for playing my legit games online though...

I have a couple psp launchers I got from the Homebrew store that say I need to renew the license in ps store ( no Sony account atm). Any fix for that?

the problem is that you were on dual boot. the cateogry_game.xml is replaced when you install a firmware. rebug has an install section and delete section for installs. iirc, the hdd is call og in that file. it encompasses the hdd and the flash for rebug toolbox which is in the rebug folder. don't know about the license. I used psp launcher on 3.55, and I don't remember that.

I'm not sure what problem you are referring to, everything seems in order now. Anyways how do I boot into the overflow dualboot for when I wanna play online? Also, can it hide the fact that I'm playing from hdd instead of my disc when i go online?

DB CFW is as close to OFW you can get with losing the ability to change back to CFW easily. You cannot play from HDD most homebrew will not function or even start

there's no telling what sony looks for, but it might be prudent to use sen enabler or psn patch. choose ofw mode with sen enabler. one issue I have with that app is that it creates the category_game.xml from scratch, so if you alphabetize dlc content, that's removed when you go back to cfw.

OK so how do I boot into OFW mode? I had 4.82 cobra but it was glitchy and no psn games worked, so I installed 4.82 DB, 4.82 feroxx standard, 4.81.2 rebug. Now my psns work but I don't know how to DB.
