    • Put in the pendrive in the PS3
    • Select Network Tab > [★ Custom Firmware Tools] > PSN Tools > Convert Savedata
    • Wait until the conversion finishes
    • Once finished, copy your converted savedata throught XMB "Saved Data Utility (PS3)"
    • Launch your game and load your new savedata

    Creation of act.dat tutorial

WARNING: The accountID is linked to savedata and trophies, so, if your current user already have a valid accountID and you overwrite it, you will be unable to use your trophies and savedata on that account until you restore the original accountID in xRegistry.sys.

I recommend to use an empty account without trophies and savedata or an account without accountID.

To create a fake act.dat, Cobra 8.3 must be enabled, and your PS3 must have at least one account with a valid accountID and launch a game that requires a RIF/RAP license file.

Cobra will search a valid accountID in all existing accounts and create act.dat while the game is launched through the XMB. If no accountID is found, act.dat will not be created.

You can create a fake accountID (like reactPSN), to do this go to Network > ★ Custom Firmware Tools > PSN Tools and choose between "Create accountID" or "Overwrite accountID" (Be careful about the last option because if you already have a fake/real accountID it will be overwritten). It is recommended to use these options in an account that does not have an ID. The PS3 will restart if everything went well.

The tutorial would be the following:
    • Download your purchased PSN game from PS Store
    • Put game RAP file in "X:\exdata" or "/dev_hdd0/exdata"
    • Launch your purchased PSN game
    • Cobra will check if any of your PS3 accounts have accountID
    • Faked act.dat will be created while the game is launching

If none of your accounts have a valid accountID you will need to create it. To do this log into the local PS3 account where you want to create the accountID. You can see if your current local account has an accountID choosing Network Tab > [★ Custom Firmware Tools] > PSN Tools > Show accountID.

To create a faked act.dat do the following:
    • Make sure Cobra 8.3 is enabled
    • Select Network Tab > [★ Custom Firmware Tools] > PSN Tools > Create accountID
    • Select Network Tab > [★ Custom Firmware Tools] > PSN Tools > Activate account
    • Launch your purchased PSN game
    • Faked act.dat will be created while the game is launching

Now you have a faked act.dat and your local account is activated. The act.dat file works for every local account, you only need one file for all accounts.

    Block PSN log in

This method is developed by @DeViL303, it will only work with Cobra enabled, Cobra will block log in on PSN/SEN while the CFW syscalls are enabled, to enable it again you need to disable CFW syscalls completely (you can do it with webMAN MOD, psnpatch, SEN Enabler, etc…).

If you want to disable this feature, simply delete /dev_flash/vsh/resource/npsignin_plugin.lck

Hello, thanks for helping me @bguerville rville and thanks for the information @ aldostools. here are the answers for your question @bguerville:-
1. I have actually downloaded the game from a website online I did not neither make it myself from a retail disc nor have modded the game files it is a straight unmodified JB folder format dumb.
2.
3. I am currently having the game on a JB folder format.
4. actually I don't have any problem with web man mod but basically I noticed in multiman when viewing system information that I would have more free system memory when web man mod is not installed. please note that I have web man mod in full edition. I just included this to just confirm and ask you if memory is an issue here.

if you recommend anything to me please tell me I have fed up with this game :)
thanks for the help

Sorry but I have already read the site rules and besides I just have answered @bguerville question and I didn't mention the site information or its address so what wrong about it?
@AlexRhine is correct.
If you are using a pirated copy of the game, posting to seek help with any issue you may have with it, is a breach of our forum rules & guidelines.
You should also know that the rules are enforced & there won't be another warning about this..

I am really sorry for this misunderstanding but all I want is just help if you can't help me then its fine no problem. I don't like piracy or any of its related things but because I don't have the game copy I just downloaded it because I didn't have it at all.

Additionally I think that the source that I got the game from is just a backup of the game disc and then its posted online so I still don't know if it's also piracy or not???

If you don't own a copy of the game, whether it's physical or digital, then it's illegal to download a copy from the Internet.

Now, if you get the disc or purchase the game from the Store that's another thing and people here will be glad to help you.

Nothing personal, piracy related convos are not allowed no matter the reason.

Let's put it this way.
If you own a retail disc, you should make your own backup, many of the pirated copies available for download have been tampered with, modified and/or resigned, for one reason or another.
On CFW or HEN, straight unmodified iso backups made with an appropriate dumper like makeps3iso (on PC or on PS3) are the best when it comes to compatibility.
If you experience problems with the backups you made, we will gladly help you.

But if you don't own the retail disc, nobody will help you fix a pirated copy of a game in this forum & you would just end up getting banned on top for your troubles.

OK sorry then. I have actually three game discs 1. Battlefield 3
2. Fifa 11
3. WWE all stars(another game) now all of them won't create a backup of their copies with multiman any help?
I have paid for these and I have been playing them when I was on OFW.

What exactly is the problem prevents you from building backups? Here are a few common fixes:

1. If your disc won't show up in multiman's UI, try inserting it while the program is running (as opposed to before). If it still doesn't appear in the UI, try using Irisman (with direct-disc access enabled) or ManaGunZ to dump your game.

2. If building your backup fails due to disc-read errors (e.g. your discs are heavily scratched), try dumping your game as a decrypted iso with ManaGunZ (for now, this only works on CFW). It will by default (v1.40) ignore disc read errors, but there may be unforeseen consequences when running a corrupted iso. You may want to verify the dump with an ird to check which files are corrupted, and evaluate whether they are needed for the game to run properly or not, or see if you can fix them (for example, if the PARAM.SFO is corrupted you could easily fix it with a hex editor).

This problem is a bit off-topic now, so it may be best if these posts are moved to a separate thread.

Thanks for everything. The only reason for why I posted it here because I was asking if updating to evilnat 4.88.2 would fix my issues thats all now because of all the misunderstanding and problems with piracy just forget it I appreciate your help too. Now about that this question I may try to figure out the issue first by myself if I needed anything then I will happy to post it here. Now I would apologize again for everything I didn't thought it would get that way.

Hello, thank you so much @Evilnat and all other developers and people in the community who have helped making the custom firmware. But I actually haven't still updated to 4.88.2 as I am still on cfw 4.87 ferrox. But I have an issue on the game WWE 2k17, the game has many issue like so often a massage would appear after launching the it and say " game data is corrupt please exit the game after deleting the WWE 2k17 game data" and its even impossible to install a DLC all because of this issue other issues include like black screen and this happens in many ways like sometimes when also launching the game or sometimes even during gameplay the game sound would be heard but there appears suddenly a black screen some other issues includes crashing, slow gameplay just like the game is in slow-motion and some other things. this is strange because some other people have reported some issues on their games on the same series like WWE 2K14 and 15 but on 4.88.1 I am on ferrox 4.87. And it would be impossible to launch the game on wmm because it would always have the above problems every single time but I can only be able to launch the game on multiman, I have already enabled BD mirror and internal all other off. and I have tried deleting the browser cache and other unnecessary things, I have tried to synchronize the clock, be connected to the internet( not PSN) with media servers enabled too, I have tried rebuilding the database and restoring the file system, I have tried uninstall and reinstall the game, I have also tried deleting its game data and updates and reinstall them, etc. And it still didn't work either. I don't know how to fix this so my questions are:-
1. does updating to evilnat 4.88.2 will fix this problem?
2. If not then what can I do ? all other games are fine if at least some does only have small issues but its not much common for it to happen.
please remember that its only possible for the game to work only when launching with multiman but web man mod doesn't work and it sometimes successes and mostly sometimes not I can say more that 85% of the time it doesn't work. I don't specifically know what the problem is. I have also updated all my homebrews to the latest version and also tried to uninstall them and reinstall.
I have set the fan speed to 37 or 38% in web man mod. i have also good amount of storage space on the hdd the hdd size is 320 GB I don't have much games only small amount of them some are big in size like Call of duty black ops 1 and 2 holding like 18- 21 GB both. the system works smoothly and fine sometimes issues occurs but not always.
ps3 model: CECH-2503A
web man mod version: v1.47.36 multiman: v04.85.01
current system firmware information: CFW 4.87 ferrox CEX.
additionally I would also recommend aldostools to update web man mod for it to reduce memory usage if possible to give more for the system.
thanks :)

Hello, again I just wanted to report that size of the game data in WWE 2k17 is just changing randomly to a lower size like lets say for example the game data is 4880 GB and then after playing for some days and when I check it, it might be just like 4780 or 4680 this is so strange I don't know why it deletes its data by itself but the data would only be corrupt after some time so I just wanna ask is this a big deal or its just like a bug or something I am on ferrox 4.87 cex?

I was trying to search on this thread first but it doesn't seem like others are having this issue, so it could very well be just the HDD's I was trying to use that are the problem. I have a 2501a slim model that recently started exhibiting issues with freezing. It all started when I was booting a game and instead of booting into the game itself, it forced me into recovery mode, think it was having me do a file system fix, it did that, then afterward I realized I was having freezing issues in the XMB. I decided to do a full format of the HD on my pc, seemed to go fine. I then put it back on CFW and started loading it back up with games, doing my game updates, all was going good for a while. Once it was getting fairly loaded up though it then began doing the same freezing thing in the XMB, pretty much on every boot.

I then decided it was most likely a failing HDD issue, and swapped it out with a TB hdd out of my ps4 that seemed to be working okay on that. Went thru all the steps again and i'm now getting the same issues. I have other consoles that are running this CFW just fine, so i'm not necessarily thinking it's at fault of the CFW, it could just be two bad HDD's or the console itself failing in some regard, but I did just want to check and see if any others have had any issues using larger HDD's with this CFW? It mostly seems to be freezing in the XMB

@Evilnat while I appreciate the work that was done to release this CWF, I have an issue with the fan settings for PS2 games and would like to add a little feedback. My console is CECHC backwards compatible. First of all, minimum 40% fan, why not allow to set it lower? My Ps3 does not run as hot as others and I never needed to set it to 40% really. Secondly is a bit confusing, what is "Control, fan mode disabled" and what is "PS2 fan mode disabled"? Third, it doesn't work well with webman mod. On your CWF 4.87 with Webman 1.47.19, I could use webman to set the manual speed for a ps2 emulator and it will put that speed no matter if I play from a ps2 disc or from ISOs (33% for instance), but in Evilnat's CWF 4.88 and webman 1.47.36 something is blocking the manual fan speed when I try to play from the ps2 disc and I don't understand the whole Fan mode disabled thing. So it's not setting that speed and using syscon control instead. So is there any way to remedy this?

Hello, I am interested in a second PS3 and I am curious if a CECH 2014A would be ok. I can see that a CECH 2104B is in the tested list, but would an A be ok as well_

Thanks,

I agree about allowing lower fan speed control, and for me the syscom issues are pretty clear, I believe syscom can only control fan speed in PS3 and PS1 games, meanwhile when playing ps2, speed the fan does not change, reaching a point that many PS3 turn off for heating, without accelerating the fan or issuing temperature alerts, so enabling the syscom you allow the PS3 to control the fan even playing PS2. What about Webman mod you must leave in syscom, otherwise it will interfere. I hope they correct me if I'm wrong, it's always good to learn more. Sorry my english

This guy is saying I've done some thing on my consul to where I can't get online and he's getting online on his 4.78 CFW console and I told him he's playing a dangerous game with his console if he's logging in and saying he is not spoofed And it's pissing me off because I do wanna get online I run a dex only console right now and he saying I did something wrong in my own console So he's telling me he's not spoofed and you don't need to be on 4.88 to go online what the F%$# is the real answer somebody fucking tell me and if you're on either CEX or DEX you still need to spoof

I didn't get it right. But to play online in DEX only 4.82 and 4.84 as sony has disabled development firmware from 4.81 and below.

I apologize for any ignorance while explaining my issues. I'm pretty new to the world of jailbreaking.

I recently installed EVILNAT 4.88.2 and everything has been working well, but whenever I try to enable Cobra, when I launch rebug toolbox, my console will generally say, " your system is not running on compatible rebug configuration | your system is not running on compatible rebug cobra version."

When I research anything on this topic I generally can't find anything of use on forums and other people's experiences. Or at the very least I'm not fully aware of what all of the terminology means.

Could anyone point me in the right direction on how to get cobra working correctly? I'm mostly just trying to use / make mod menus but to no avail.

The only thing I've managed to do correctly is install roms.
