So partitioned correctly I have seen 8tb successfully used. Now that being said mine didn't work via USB. Set it up via NAS and it is working fine. So the results are hit or miss

A tutorial would be great, so setting up a hard drive over a network worked for you?

I just use ps3netserv then hook the HDD up to my PC. Works great for PS1, PS3 & PSP games. PS3 works but has to copy the ISO to the internal prior to launching.

That is how to setup a NAS for games. Now as for using it on the PS3 I have had no luck but I do know folks that have. They split the drive into two separate partitions. The largest since drive I have had work for the PS3 was a 3tb it allowed me to use if I recall correctly 2.7tb of the data.

I tried 2TB partitions, 1TB partitions, exFAT, NTFS, in NBR, GPT, different cluster sizes, tried with webman, multiman, managunz...
It could also be brand related, I finally gave up!

Yeah that is why I suggest using it as NAS. It actually can load faster then USB and if you are like my with NUMEROUS systems even multiple PS3 system they can all use it.

Can anyone show me how to connect a NAS to your modded PS3? I thought it would be easy to find a tutorial on YouTube but what I have found is completely out of date.

So any help would be much appreciated [emoji120]
