PS3 80029CCA error when dowgrading from 4.84 cfw

I've recently bought a Cfw 4.84 rebug dex and in attempts to gain acces to online functions i want to upgrade to latest ofw, however ive heard contradicting things about dowgrading to 3.55 cfw first or useing qa flags and doing it straight from xmb, all my attempts to get to 3.55 cfw or 3.55 ofw have been futile and even rogeros downgrader has been of no help as they all present me with a 80029CCA error code stating the file is corrupted, im not experienced in ps3 modding so i was wondering if anyone could help? i have enbaled qa flags via rebug and habib but no avail, my next solution is to spoof to 4.90 for online features but id rather have ofw in hopes of not being banned. Any solutions? i have a phat model and can downgrade to 2.20 according to my recovery mode.

need to change from dex to cex via rebug toolbox, your using a cex update on a dex machine,

You can still use psn on dex 4.82.2 without needed latest update

to get to latest ofw, forat go back to cex and then install 4.90 ofw pup. there is no need to go to 3.55. there is no need for qa flag unless downgrading. (i would turn qa flag off before going to ofw, but only because i have OCD )

Thank you!! How would I access online on the older version if you don't mind me asking, I've reason to believe the console is ip banned alas I may not be able to play online on current ofw
