ARSEHOLE FRIENDS

PxP8

Forum Noob
So maybe a dumb place to post this, but I got some assholish friends back home I keep in contact with through gaming. Long and the short, they are just.... selfish. Anyone wanna game on some stuff like Borderlands? get ahold of me as pxlxp8. Also sorry if theres a no cursing rule. I don't actually know if there is one but sorry still.

General rule of thumb is dont curse unless others do first.
And tbf they don't sound like friends when there being selfish. You want to cut them off and find some new ones. Try gaming forums or discord to find people on the sane games as you.

Most definitely. Figured this would be a possible place to start just because I've used this place for so long as a resource and it would seem proper to do the same in terms of meeting new people to play online with. And next time I will make sure to not curse on the OP.

First rule of playing online. Do not play online. It brings cancer and killing 'single player master race' genre. ;P
Dude XD I cannot even handle this today lmao. Your tags make it that much better, Berion. And, to be fair, I only try to play online with friends when the game will actually benefit from it. With Borderlands, the more people you have in a game, the easier it is to farm for legendaries. And games like Skate 3, where there are like, contests you can compete with each other in, which I think is necessary for a certain trophy. Being a perfectionist gamer, these are all kinda crucial IMO.

I have cured myself from this sickness long ago when I realized that it is extremely hard to find good pack of peoples to playing online and when I figure out that developers designed online for grind of hell to keep their title as long as possible from second hand market. So, I said to myself: f* it, it is waste of life time. Really. And I'm completonist kind to! I like when I see platinum trophy on my list along with 100%, but shiny colourful shit icons is not worth life wasted to get something so worthless. Something breaks inside me after BioShock 2 online. I also extremely angry to unable to get pearl grade weapons in Borderlands 2 (1% drop rate in online, and FAR less in single/co-op) but well, You know... ;)

Now I'm a toxic member of holy crusade against online playing (especially in pay services like PlayStation Minus and Xbox Dead because I already paid for f* console and f* game so there is no reason to paying more for f* sake!). ;p

As much as I hate to do it, if I have the ability to convert saves from pc to ps3, as with gibbed making it insanely easy, then I usually load up the stuff that has that kind of impossibility to get. Unrelated, Borderlands 3 doesn't have a gibbed yet, but there is an amazing online tool that can really help out. That, plus using Wemod, makes characters insane. I am not sure if there is the capability to convert those saves to PS4 or Xbox One. I am pretty sure that is stuck at ps3 and xbox 360 with gibbed and presequel and 2. I wish there was more of a focus on this kind of stuff with the older game consoles to address issues like sheitty loot rates and missions that can be missed. Stuff like that should have like, a community patch like PC gaming. It seems like the only way to get anything quality is with playing with sheitty people. And that's if you get to it before they do. Ugh. Gaming has taken a weird turn for the worse.

Online gaming is addictive and that's why has a great commercial value. Gaming industry figured it out long ago. Online gaming killed a lot of creativity in gaming industry and cut the market share of Single player. Online gaming attracts young gamers and teens the most which is the largest consumer segment of gaming industry.

I don't have any interest in online gaming because the whole concept is boring to me and also i don't have any time these days.

I would like to enjoy single player gaming experience for good 50 hours rather than 10000 hours of online gaming which is just repetitive & pointless.

I spent a whole year of my life playing World of Warcraft everyday.... Without fail.

When I finally realised the amount of money I was pissing away for no reason and the locked in feeling of always having to pay (if you stop paying, you stop playing. All progress lost. Only the next lump of subscription money will allow you to continue) I vouched never to go back again.

Now I'm in a similar situation with Ps+.
All my IRL friends play online. But I refuse to pay a subscription... Yes, free games every month, blaaah blaaah, I won't go into another Ps+ rant (I hate Ps+, let's leave it there)

There haven't been many online games I really got into. I played one of the Boarderlands when it was a freebie from Epic Game Store. Quite enjoyed it, much better with friends. But just didn't play it too much.

Single player games are my jam.
Resident Evil series, Metal Gear Solid series, GTAs, Red Deads.
Those top quality stories are just exquisite

Some of my best gaming memories were with 2 people I met while playing borderlands 2 and call of duty black ops zombies. I haven't had time to game in years but we spent so much time together that we exchanged numbers and I speak to them all the time in real life. I consider them both close friends now and we have never even met in person.

I totally forgot CoD Zombies... That was an extreme exception, I played that to death with my buds. Bo2, Buried was amazing. I like the evolution from the simplicity of WaW zombies to the complex maps and task of later games.

I was and still am a huge retro multilayer games player. Those classic couch co-op games of the late 80s and all through the 90s just can't be beat.
I regularly go back to Streets of Rage and Golden Axe on the Megadrive (Genesis to the US folk)

I agree with all you guys fully. I guess i like the experience of having a friend or 2 to murder stuff with. I think thats why im so stuck on ps3 is the ability to go online without paying. love that. But i really dont like little kids talking shit while playing online. that gets to be frustrating and honestly will make me quit my game. but thats why i was asking who goes online here. that way no need for a public server, which means no annoying ass little kids lol. another good game to go online with with friends is Bioshock 2. idk if it still supports online play, but that game had such an interesting take on co op play.

Those day, I'm stick to Diablo 3 Reaper of soul.
I found on another forum 1 friend to play with online.

But I know that Dead Island Riptide is still available online.

On and off, I have about 7 years of Everquest under my belt... (I still play on Project99 Test Server now and again) and the only thing I pissed away more than money was time... My god that game is like a full-time job (or junk habit).

Now I'm in a similar situation with Ps+.

C'mon! I LOVE reading your PS+ rants! (Signed up for a year, never again with PS+ OR PSN for me.

I've got about 7 years of Everquest under my belt, and relate all too well (I still play on PJ99 test server now and again...)

Also 9ers, please do rant about PS+! I hate it as much/more than you do, along with PSN... and I love reading your tirades. :)

Which games you want more to play online on PS3?

Which games you want more to play online on PS3?

None. As a personal rule, I only ever play offline with JB consoles...

I am interested in learning about some Direct Play and LAN play options, since I'm starting to get some friends/fan into the scene...

My ultimate dream would be running a private server for me and my friends that can "pretend" to be a server for whatever game we wanted to play together, but for now I'm content with staying offline and away from PSN altogether. I'm happy not to count myself among Sony's DAUs anymore, but that's just me.

I love that this scene has had success gaming over PSN on JB consoles... it's just one aspect of the scene I don't dabble in myself...

Because you fear to be ban ?

In your first post you did not ask who play online Boarderland?

I'm not the OP (different member).

Originally I stayed offline because I didn't know what I was doing and feared being banned. As I've played more and more, both online and offline, and specifically over the years of the PS4, I've developed a loathing for SOE and PSN that rivals some of the long standing members who trash Sony's money grabbing tactics on the regular...

I played Everquest for a very long time, on and off, but for about 7 years total. Now I only play on unofficial servers (mostly P99 test), but admittedly, I don't play EQ much anymore either.

These days, I play MTG Arena daily on PC, Doom 2016 on my PS4, and I recently started playing AC4 - Black Flag (Assassin's Creed is all new to me... Never played them before... :highly amused:)
