I use the HFWs made by PS3Xploit team for my PS3 for a long time (since I wanted to play games like MGO2 Revival). Everything went smoothly fine until quite some time ago. My wifi and bluetooth weren't working anymore, but it was fine. I wasn't playing multiplayer games anymore, everything was solo games like Ghost Recon Future Soldier or Metal Gear Solid 4.
Unfortunately, tonight, I fought with my PS3. My best friend decided to play all of the Metal Gear saga all over again and asked me if I wanted to play with him at MGS Peace Walker in coop. I agreed, but then realized that my console wasn't updated from a long time ago (last update was from 4.90HFW), so I tried to install the 4.92 OFW because I remembered that it was doing it before (updating in OFW and I had to go back to HFW by myself).
Unfortunately, it bricked my PS3. Error 8002F1F9 (meaning to BT/wifi module detected), and it was looped inside of it. I finally managed to unbrick my console after 2 hours, but now I'm wondering. Can I still try to install 4.92 but this time directly with the HFW from PS3Xploit, or will it also cause this loop?
I've already checked inside my PS3 if something was wrong about the bluetooth and wifi cables, but they are fine, so it's definitely coming from the motherboard itself, and I'm not qualified enough for this. Do you have any idea what could I do about it?
I forgot to say that my PS3 is a CECH-2504B, I know that this is important since every PS3 are different. Sorry for this missing information!
