PS3 can I use my hard drive on a ps3 with flash storage?

So I am looking forward to purchase a new ps3 super slim since my old one broke. I had the 500gb model, and i found another superslim model (white). The owner doesnt know if it is a 12gb or a 500gb, but I want to get a quick solution for now. IF it is the flash version, is there a way to boot from the old hard drive I had in my broken console??

You can install a HDD to the 12Gb model, but you'll need the HDD-carry holder. (you can probably use the disk holder from your old super-slim).

But, you need to understand that all the data in your old disk is already lost, encryption keys are unique to your dead console, so the new ps3 will just ask to format the disk and install the firmware.

You can't recover any data, so keep that in mind.

Thank you so much. I actually managed to save those files and I will probably get a new one. I do have the HDD caddy from the dead console
