PS3 CECH-2504A - Power issue

Ok, I'm dealing with a strange issue with my 2504A, and I can't seem to figure out the cause.

Sometimes when I try to turn on the PS3, it immediately shuts down after the LED turns green. At this point, the LED stays off, and pressing the power button doesn't turn it back on or make it go red. I have to unplug and replug the console to reset it. I know this can happen in case of a short circuit, but after inspecting the console, I found nothing that could cause it. The PSU is working fine too.

What's even stranger is that if I remove the case screws, the console will start just fine. As soon as I put the screws back in, the issue happens again. The first time it happened, I somehow finally managed to get it working with the screws in place, and it worked fine for a whole month without any issues... until a few days ago when it started acting up again. Same thing — removing the case screws makes it work as if nothing's wrong.

Technically, I could use this 2504A without the screws, but obviously, that's not ideal x)
It's not designed to work like that, and something clearly isn't right. This afternoon, I tried putting the screws back in, and it's working again... but for how long?

I know that in some cases, when there are GPU issues, applying pressure can help the console to start, but here it seems like the opposite. Releasing the pressure from the screws allows it to start. I was wondering if the recent temperature fluctuations where I live caused the console's materials (plastic, metal, etc.) to expand or contract, creating unwanted contact/pressure somewhere or flexing something. That could explain why it worked fine for a whole month before it happened again.
I tried screwing in each screw one by one to see if I could identify the problematic one, but I was able to put them all back in without any issues, so I'm no further along in figuring it out.
Before this afternoon, I used my PS3 several days without screws, just keeping the case in place with some tape. I was too pissed off to deal once again with the screws at the time x)

It's definitely a pressure/contact issue, but... I'm lost ^^' The SYSCON log only contains "2022" errors related to using PS2 games, so nothing alarming there.

If anyone has an explanation, I'd appreciate it.
