PS3 CEF Crobra CFW 4.91 Cechk02 PS3 stuck in factory service mode

Hey, I thought i'd enter factory service mode out of curiosity. After rebooting into FSM, I can't connect any of my controllers to the system either via bluetooth or cable. Neither of the front USB ports supply power to peripherals I connect (cables, usb dongles etc). Thus, I can't connect a controller to disable FSM via the ps3 toolbox menu, and cannot control the system manually at all. I have tried resetting the controller via the reset button and that has not worked. I have also tried booting the PS3 without its HDD inserted, then restarting with the HDD and that has also not worked. Is there anything I can do that can get me out of FSM? Is this a fixable situation or am I stuck with a FSM-brick PS3?

Better get another, genuine PS3 controller and compatible USB cable. Not all cables are able to work in sync with the PS3, and there are many fake controllers out there that simply don't work.

I'm using a genuine stock PS3 controller and cable. I've also tried another controller.

That was about an hour ago. So I thought i'd start the ps3 with a DS4 controller already connected to it, and when i fired up the system, power was going through both USB ports (this wasn't the case before). So now it's no longer an issue. Rather strange bug though. But it's now fixed.

Maybe your USB ports (either on the console or on the controller) have broken contacts or corrotion. It's very strange indeed.
