PS3 Change to Cex from Dex?

Can I do it? after reading i realized dex is not really needed and you only need cex cfw. says dex is debug dev firmware which i dont need its how the console was when i purchased it. i just want to play games mainly as well as go online.

Yes. CEX is the FW for PS3 retail models. DEX is for debug and developers stations.

i also read that a lot of dex stuff is now in regular cex so its kinda obselete. that one says cex to dex would i just reverse the process to go to cex? thanks so much!!

I've pointed out in my previous message that at 13:11 in the video it's explained how to go back from DEX to CEX.

Copy the ERK dump to a USB disk if you haven't done so and back it up to your computer and the cloud as well. If your PS3 ever dies without warning you can use the ERK to decrypt and read its internal HDD on your computer.

Because you have to install Evilnat's D-PEX CFW.

DEX doesn't have any of the CFW tools, because it was never meant to be used in retail consoles.
