So I recently got a cecha00 according to webman mod its been running for 146 days. I did a deep clean of everything, replaced all thermal pads and thermal paste on cpu and gpu heat spreader with a thin layer spread with a credit card + rice grain size paste in the middle yesterday.
Temps idle after 10 min (syscon fan):
CPU 60-63c
RSX 53c
Temps in game (read dead redemption, syscon fan):
CPU 67-72c
RSX 57c
To me the idle temp seems really high no? Or could this be because this is the first time I started the ps3 after reapplying thermal paste? I can imagine that some heat is required to make the paste a bit more liquid and spread evenly.
If not, do you reckon I should delid and reapply thermal paste directly on the CPU and RSX?
