doubt about PSIDs

one of my fellas is giving me his ps3 that he doesn't use anymore but it is OFW and has his psn account linked to it, he doesn't use his psn on the ps3 anymore nor he plays anything on it. but my question is that im taking his idps and his ps3 is the super slim, i got a slim with cfw evilnat 4.88 and my original idps has been banned since last year, if i hop on psn and i get banned in the future on his idps does his psn account will get affected? i'm not risking on it unless i'm 100% sure which is the case so i came to ask to people who knows more than me, if my guess is that my psn is banned instead of his account then i'm gucci then. So long as your buddies PSN account isn't used you will be fine. It bans the account being used across all platforms. Now that being said one can easily tell if you used say a CECHB-01 IDPS on a CECH-2001A as the IDPS.

if it's just to sync trophies, then it's no problem right? the game i used to play a lot online is really inactive nowadays so i don't have intentions to play online anymore so i was curious if just sync the trophies would affect something
