Hello, i am new to hacking a Playstation, that's why i wanna ask you a simple question:
Is it possible to play PS1,PS2,PSP,PS Vita games on a hacked PS4/PS4 pro console.
What about some older non-PS console games from Nintendo, Super Nintendo or Sega Master System?

Thank you !

PS1, PS2, PSP, Sega Saturn are possible inside the OrbisOS ( all official emulators)
Non-PS consoles via RetroarcH.

PSVita and PS3 only via Linux on ps4

Thank you for your answers.

Is there any guideline here for OrbisOS and RetroarcH?

Are we talking about jailbreak, right? What do I need to have in order to do it?

They are not. All those emulators came from emulated games rip off, as now there is no emulation functionality in firmware like on PS3. This was moved to per game emulator shared with game studios to modify/config them for their own needs and releasing as PS4 title (so in that case, user buying emulator + disc image/s + other meta data; each per game of course, separated from each other like in case of native PS4 games).

I know, but to summarize I ended up saying that it works :P, thanks for the detailed explanation

Ok, i got it. One last question:

I know it's a PS4 thread but what about PS3? Can i emulate, PS1, PS2, PSP and retro games from NES, SNES, Sega Master System consoles by jailbreaking a PS3?

PSX games quite ok, PS2 games are problematic, PSP more problematic and 8 and 16bit consoles can be emulated via RetroArch which is not great but better than nothing. ;)

And yes, You need hack the PS3 (the best CFW, but for not supported models, HEN is sufficient).

Soooooo ... i shall use a PS4 instead of a PS3 in order to play those old games, am i right? I mean, since PS2s and PSPs are problematic and RetroArch is not great on a PS3 right?

You should assemble PC (i.e some tiny beast like Intel NUC or Gigabyte BRIX) for PS2, PSP and PSX games. None of the consoles giving You headacheless experience with them, especially PS4. PSTV/PSV are quite ok with PSX and PSP but they are tedious to hack and tedious way to use PSX games. I'm not a fan of RetroArch but there is no better solution in nowadays because no one developing normal emulators for consoles. So in this case, the best is PSC, eventually PSTV/PSV as RA works best on them.

You'll be able to play most of your PS2 games without any issues on PS3. Problematic is a poor choice of words. I would use problematic for PSP, but not for PS2.

Is NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 1650 enough? Everything else is high (8700k, 16 GB 3200 MHz etc).

Every PS3?

I'm not familiar with current PCSX2 builds but this card should be sufficient. The same for PPSSPP and of course for Duckstation.

They can play most PS2 games at this point.

Playing yes but not without issues. Depend how much user can sacrifice in the name of emulation. Personally I cannot stand with blurry image and graphical glitches or lack of some effects

That being said, it is still far from problematic. Besides the lesser display quality, a lot of games run comparably to PS2 hardware without the need to disable effects. I still have my PS2 for games that will never work, but I'd rather play on PS3 for the ease of it.
