PS3 error 8002F957 when upgrading to cfw

my ps3 cech 2501A has already been made bgtoolset by (fake toolset)
and it installed evilnet cobra but when i went to put a memory upgrade/change the hdd when i went to install the cfw it gives the error 8002F957 and i dont know what to do the hdd is no longer booting and i dont know until i I opened a forum in the wrong category if anyone knows how to fix it please help me!

If the PS3 is asking for system version 4.89 or something else, install the CEX or PEX version of CFW. For 3.56 or lower, then use the DEX or D-PEX version of CFW.

The problem could be the USB device or even the internet browser that corrupted the downloaded files.

You used a fake website to modify your NAND/NOR to enable CFW. Developers have been warning this for months that it is dangerous and could brick your console.

If you converted your PS3 to DEX, you need to install the CFW version D-PEX, otherwise you will be stuck. DEX can only update to DEX, just like CEX can only update to CEX.

And avoid using this site you mentioned, it is a fraudulent site and using it can already cause problems for your console. I hope you manage to solve your problem.

If you already installed CFW before changing HDD, why use fake bgtoolset again? You weren't even supposed to use it, and now they tell you to do it again. How stupid is the person telling you this on discord?

This asshole will make you permanently damage your console. Read what I said above and do the CFW update again as instructed. Or install 4.89 HFW and use HEN until the real bgtoolset is back online.

Tell your friend on discord I told him to F%$# off for encouraging the use of incomplete tools.

Did you have CFW DEX or CEX on your PS3? What update is it asking for???
