PS3 Firmware UPDATE loop with error 8002F147

Hi guys. I can't figure this one out so i need your help. I have slim ps3 CECH-2500 with this problem. Current software is 4.81 and when i try to update it fails on 20%- 22% with error 8002F147. Im doing update trough safe mode since i can't access XMB

Things i have tried:
Different USB sticks
Different firmware versions (even nobt, nobd, both) versions
Current (4.81) same OFW
Different HDD's with different formatting

I don't know what else to try. Maybe to swap out bt/wifi module, since bluray works.

Really if you guys know what else should i try, please tell me. Thank you all in advance

Just in case, double check all the bullets. And unplug your controller once you start the update process.

Welcome to the forums!.

Error 8002F147 usually means that the PUP file used for updating the console is corrupted or invalid; that the USB drive is incompatible with the PS3; that the HDD is broken or has some kind of issue; or, in the worst case scenario, that the Bluetooth/WiFi module is broken.

You should try the following:
  • Redownload the update PUP file and check that the MD5 hash matches with the one on the download website (you need to use a computer and a MD5 hash application in order to calculate the hash from the USB drive).
  • Try another USB drive. Sometimes new USB drives and thumbsticks don't work with the PS3.
  • Try another HDD. Sometimes the HDD has some bad sectors that cause errors during FW installation.
  • Regarding the Bluetooth/WiFi module, it's quiet difficult to check if you can not get to the XMB menu.
Your message doesn't specify your console model, FW version, if it can boot to the XMB, if it has the original HDD.

Please provide some more information in order to detect the failure.

Is it patched for cfw or already has it? If not, that's why all those non ofw ones fail. That error seems like bd/bt related.

If you didn't patch, use bgtoolset and apply cfw patch, then try nobd/BT cfw.

I will try that, thanks.

I really don't know if it's patched. I got it from friend for cheap with that problem. He got it from container that arrived from germany, and he sells those goods and consoles cheap. He also tried to install firmware and couldn't get it to work. Fails at 20%. However, i tried Evilant's nobt and nobd cfw firmware and it fails at 22%. Don't know if that makes any sense. Could it be that parts of NOR are corrupted?
