PS2 Games work well first time, then they stop working (MX4SIO)

Hey everyone! So I finally bought everything to play on my PS2, but I'm having some issues. The games seems to work fine the first time I try, but then when I restart my PS2, I have the "Error, this item couldn't be load" error.

Here is my setup

BITFUNX MX4SIO
Ps2 is 79000 Model
OPL is 1.20 Beta Version
Card is Kingstone 128GB Canvas Select Plus (Ex-Fat Format, tried both 128 and 32 kb)

I've tried the Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance SLES-50717 and the Simpsons Hit and Run (I've mostly tried MKDA).

Also, VMC seems to work fine the first time, but then after restarting the game, they corrupt. I've used deffragler to double check games are not fragmented.
Any idea why this might be happening?

Thanks!

Memory Card 8M Magic Gate

Not sure. Try another card?
You mean another Memory card, or another SD card ?

Even in the stable version of OPL, MX4SIO remains experimental.
try another medium like USB.

"emulation through USB"??? There is no "emulation" involved.

Try... another... SD!
Like I wrote...

Yeah well, tbh I am not satisfied with emulation trough USB. I would really really like to get MX4SIO to work

That's the point, if you don't like USB, which is more stable, imagine MX4SIO, which is experimental.
I hope you solve it but it is what it is or try SMB.

Yes, I didn't meant emulation, but playing. Idk why I wrote emulation lol.
And I don't like the USB because it downgrade the playing experience a lot. Cut-Scenes go really slow.

I will try another SD card and I will post results here.

Btw, I read that the Joystick not being original might interfere with MX4SIO. is that true ?

Yes, that controller problem with MX4SIO and some 3rd party controllers, that you heard of IS possible!

Good to know... I guess lol. Altough I imagine it should not work at all, and my Joystick works (at least when the games works). I'm gonna try another SD and I'll let you know (in case this is useful for someone)

Basically ANY 3rd-party SIO-Device COULD cause issues in theory. That includes Clone MCs as well as controllers, MultiTap, etc.

Thanks! I will try to exchange my SD card for another. BTW, do you think that downgrading the version of the OPL to 1.10 will work? or it's useless to try ?

Well I changed the compilation of the V1.20 beta and it seems to work now. Altough I have experienced some bugs. Also, I noticed that VMC do not work with my setup (at least with Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance SLES-50717).

do VMC work with the MX4SIO? might it be an issue with the game, and not the system ?

(Sorry if this is a separated question, not sure whether to open a different thread or not )

Edit:
Well, after further trying, I think the SD is still creating issues. I will try again with other SD (I belive that with a different SD card, I managed to make VMC work)

Still, the question about VMC remains. Do VMC works with MX4SIO?
