PS3 HDD error on my ps3 (Help Me please)

Hello! happy new year from mexico, i'm using a translator i hope you can understand me. I have a ps3 slim with cfw 4.86, I made the mistake of updating to 4.87 without going into safe mode. the point is that I went into a loop and I got an update error and I restarted the console and the error kept appearing. I found a solution and it was to remove the hard drive, connect it to a pc and give the hard drive a letter (without formatting it). I put the hard drive back in the ps3 and the power led after 5 seconds turned red and the ps3 made 3 beeps, the power led started to blink red and stayed that way. I tried to format the hard drive in fat32 but got the same result. my ps3 always worked fine, i never had problems with it, the hard drive works fine on my pc. I tried to start the ps3 without the hard disk and this time I started but I got a storage error, then apparently the problem is with the hard disk, but why does this error appear? my hard drive or my ps3 crashed? thanks.

try formatting to ntfs instead of fat32.

It is not mistake. You can update fw by method whatever You want.

the point is that I went into a loop and I got an update error and I restarted the console and the error kept appearing.

Update loops (based on unpacked data on HDD, not on flash corruption) can be simply fixed if You have EID Root Key (by removing all files on cache partition). Otherwise, i.e formatting will help but You loosing Your own data (if You care about them).

I found a solution and it was to remove the hard drive, connect it to a pc and give the hard drive a letter (without formatting it).

You cannot assign drive letter on Windows to a drive which his logic isn't recognized by Windows. And even if You will be able to do it, what is the point of that? "Drive letter" is not write on HDD, it is how Windows shows to user partitions on mass storage devices.

I put the hard drive back in the ps3 and the power led after 5 seconds turned red and the ps3 made 3 beeps, the power led started to blink red and stayed that way. I tried to format the hard drive in fat32 but got the same result.

Check S.M.A.R.T of this HDD because this behaviour is not normal. But high probably something is broken on PS3 firmware side. If HDD will not be recognized she would shows information about it. And what data is on HDD also doesn't matter because if she doesn't found her partition table etc. she will format it.

[/ CITA]

The error code that appeared on the console is "8002f334" and it appeared in 55. I tried to format in ntfs as well and it didn't work for me either, I don't know what could have happened, I can't enter safe mode.

[/ QUOTE]

Thanks for the support, I will try to do a smart check, because I have formatted the hdd several times without success

Replace another HDD, Install firmware from Safe Mode, after normal, plug the HDD back and reinstall firmware again.
