PS3 HELP!!! Is my PS3 dead?

So tried to Delid the CPU on my PS3 (CECHK01) because the temps were almost hitting 80º on the XMB alone (RSX always stable at 54º even when playing), but i got a hasty and used my tool before sanding it properly. As you may know this resulted in a lot of scratches, and now my PS3 got YLOD with errors 3003 and 1002, but all traces had continuity on the chip surface (even the ones that are exposed are showing continuity) and it got me wondering why the console was having YLOD if all traces seemed to be fine? Without options i just put some thermal paste on the CPU DIE and tried testing it and now it was working just fine? Tested a game for some minutes and saw no issue, only one thing was strange is that Webman was showing the CPU temperature as 0º and the RSX as 14º (they did not change even when playing) and after testing a little more i decided to put it back together and test again on my TV. Now on my TV for some reason there was no image signal/display, even trying different cables or ports it wouldn't show any image only this time the Green LED was still on (GLOD?) and the only thing that may have caused it was my carelessness while carrying it to my living room (carrying one handed plus it shook a lot).
Now what is happening is that sometimes i can get it to work (display video), but after playing for 5 minutes it crashes. One thing i noticed is on the PKGI store both the CPU and RSX were above 70º (i'm using mx4 thermal paste and it is freshly applied).
Last thing i want to add is that i tried heating it for 20 minutes to see if it would do something, and as expected it did nothing.

Update: I finally got it back to working again! What was happening is that the exposed traces, even though they had continuity, were not conducting the signals from the die to the chip correctly then what i did was simply putting some solder on them and voilà, it works flawlessly now. Also the Kapton tape was probably creating short or insulating something so i had to remove it, and now the temps are below 60º even when playing a game like GOW3.
I will be testing it a little more to see if it really fixed the problem and give an update probably in a week.

PS: This is all thanks to idrees tech (youtube) who helped me diagnose the problem, without him i wouldn't be able to solve this. All my gratitude to him, thank you!

Final Update: My ps3 is working! I've been playing almost everyday 2 hours or more and it's perfectly working. Temps don't go any higher than 65º and fan speed no more than 40% even on heavy games.
