help needed please

After modding the slimline top loading PS3, I now have bought a newer model a CECH 2503B. The firmware it is currently on is 4.81 and it appears to be a front loading PS3.

Can someone please advise which mod tutorial I should use is it HEN or HAN? Will I need to update the firmware before proceeding with the modding?
