The latest firmware of the PS3? I am on that. But I can't seem to get the process to finish the traditional way because the latest update for the injector was for 4.88. Unless there's another one that I don't know about.

There is a particular reason I need this SSL injector to work, so I would appreciate the help.

CFW doesn't need any injector.. just mount the dev_flash with write permission known as dev_blind, dev_rewrite, dev_habib and so so on then put whatever file you need… you can use FTP.. multiman and any other file managers

if you want to play online, yes.

if you need to jailbreak, you must be on 4.75 or above to use bgtoolset.
 
@Joonie what can HFW be useful for still if bguerville manages to update his toolset quickly and make a hypervisor exploit tested on NOR metldr.2 models? I know I'm theorizing here, but bguerville has other things to do probably first before he steps in. Which slows down his progress. I'll wait for results of eMMC
 
I updated my PS3 online to version 4.90 and now I can't access my Multiman.
Please note that the device's memory size has not changed

His entry point isn't relying on the old webkit so I do not think there is any benefit..

i am trying to install HFW 4.90.1 but when i go to update firmware using storage device the .PUP file is not being read
is there something i am missing

I am facing a issue after updating Ps3 hfw 4.90.1 . In this not working split parts games . Can anyone help about that.

We followed the step by step on this and when it was going through the install it flashed something up and then just restarted and now it just goes to a system update and gets as far as 80% and pulls up a code and tells you to restart the system. I've tried numerous times to put it into safe mode to try to install the file that way but it won't even let me get there it just right back to the system update screen when i go through the process to put it into safe mode. Does anyone know or have any suggestions on how i can fix this?
 
hi, I installed this exactly as the youtube tutorials told me to, but when i put the flash drive into my PS3 Superslim and push system update, it just says "no applicable update data was found". what am i doing wrong?

  • HFW (hybrid firmware) 4.90.1

    HFW 4.90.1 can be used for HEN installation on ALL models.

    If you own a 2.5K or lower model, you can use this HFW to install CFW by using a flash writer.

    Here's my note for homebrew developers (Please disregard if you are installing HEN or CFW)

Hen isn't much a flash payload probs because LV2 on flash is the only one exploitable without a hypervisor LV1 first of all you install HFW provided here then you go ... and run Enable HEN

i was try from there and from ps3toolset and all from h t t p s : / / psx-place.com/threads/version-4-90-cfw-hen-status.39782/ but any of them don't work. Cano't put modified flash, i dont know why
