PS3 I have a problem with my PS3 Slim!!!!

Yesterday I turned on my ps3 to play and at first it wouldn't turn on until I saw a tutorial on youtube where I had to use a hair dryer and put it on the ps3 fan to turn it on, when I did it it worked, and today i tried again and nothing works, i have a ps3 slim and when i plug in the cables it doesn't even turn on the red light to turn it on.

Help please!
 
Yeah NEVER do those so called "fixes" they are very temporary Band-Aids that actually cause way more harm than good. You can bake your board beyond repair. What model number do you have? Gonna be on the back like

CECHA,CECHB,CECHH
CECH-2001, CECH-3001 etc.

I ruined a backwards compatible model using YouTube fixes
 
Hello, thanks for answering me, my model is the CECH-3004B. I just plugged it in and it turned on. Still alive. What do you recommend I do now? One question, does the HEN influence something?
 
HEN isn't going to be the issue as it is removed upon powering the system off. That being said if the red light isn't even coming on I am going to lean towards a bad PSU as those do not have the faulty caps. I suggest using a multimeter to probe the power. Can pick one up for $5 and it is pretty simple to do. Or you can bite the bullet and buy a PSU. Heck if you are in the states pretty sure I have a couple extra. I could send you one
