Ps3 Affected by RSOD.

Ps3 with Bad BD and bad logic board.
Ps3 with missing Hdd0

I add HDD and boot, it is my surprise I get RSOD.

1. I proceed to the NOR dump, and verify, through DUMP CHECKER, Is OK

The dump Made with E3Flasher ROS0 that ROS1 With Hash 18C8473E69BB332C43C5EAF8EA1D3527 = 4.80 Cex

Patch Dump and reflash Nor. Verify OK

2. I proceed to Downgrade 3.55 CFW.
3. Install CFW 3.55 RSOD BYPASS.
4. Install Qa flag, FSM XMB , RSOD FIX ,Multiman
5. Start Qa flag and Block with black screen
6. Start Multiman, and Block with black screen
7. Start Rsod fix. And Block with black screen

8. I suppose it's the Nor Damaged, I replace with another of the same type.
9. Flash dump, did with e3 flasher, the old NOR.
10. Start Ps3 , RSOD.

Ps3 works correctly only BD Fault, No Black Screen.

Help I ask, what is the problem that generated RSOD.

Help I ask, what is the problem that generated RSOD.

Maybe is that you flashed "bad" dump. If your nor chip was faulty then you dumped also bad sectors. so when you writed that dump to new NOR, then you did it with bad sectors from old nor.

You should be able now fix RSOD on that new nor in usual way.

RSOD and that BD issue are two different things, the reason why you can't run any homebrew is that (blackscreen) is because of your faulty BD, you need to install noBD compatible CFW to run the RSOD fix or any other homebrew.
@Alexander has made bunch of those. Try one of his CFW

about that RSOD, it maybe fixed with the homebrew, so you can worry about that later after done dealing with noBD issue.

try this:

MD 5: 29E79AE7FF6C84BC91BC9691520E8B7E
Code:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/bme5e7qzd4x7079/PS3UPDAT.PUP

it's rebug no-bd that I made a while back. it's 4.80 though. that's if u want rebug.

Now I try to install the CFW of @Alexander, the Ferrox 4.80 noBD with noRSOD

After making the RSOD fix, I can install the CFW noBD NoRSOD Team Rebug?
I state that I replaced the logic board, optical works but no spinning the disc, you have to do remarry.

What do you recommend?
Thank you

@Joonie I though he already figured it out. :) Because he wrote:

But I understand now.

@pinky You know what to do :p Please post MD5, changelog is known, just no-bd patches added. Also I remember that PUP was tested by users here so is ok.

Ps3 Affected by RSOD.

Ps3 with Bad BD and bad logic board.

Like Joonie said, fixing rsod is not the problem here especially when it can be done from within Rebug 4.80.1 anyway.

First you must solve the BD issue.
1) If your logic board is dead you might be interested in the BDEMU patch. I suggest you read up about BDEMU.
2) If the logic board has been replaced then it needs remarried! Remarrying the board can also be done with XMB CFW Settings within Rebug 4.80.1.

Here is a Rebug 4.80.1 with BDEMU in a rar archive! No need for md5.
https://www.mediafire.com/download/tmfwvd1wfcb1ail
pinky already gave you a noBD PUP so now you have both.

If you choose the noBD way along with BD Remarrying, you first need to install Rebug 4.80.1 noBD, then after 1st boot, go to *Package Manager & install Rebug Toolbox.
Launch Rebug Toolbox, go to the Selector column, toggle XMB CFW Settings "Enabled" then go to the Utilities column to dump eid_root_key.

Here are the xmb cfw settings release notes about BD Remarrying:

1) Toggle Factory Service Mode from XMB CFW Settings option, there is no need for a dongle. Network->*Custom Firmware Tools->*Service Tools->*Advanced Service Tools->Toggle FSM.
2) Put "eid_root_key" that belongs to the console to /dev_usb000 (copy it from /dev_hdd0/game/RBGTLBX2/USRDIR/eid_root_key to the usb pendrive & make sure the pendrive is plugged in the port nearest to the BD drive.)
3) Select Remarry Bluray Drive in Network->*Custom Firmware Tools->*Service Tools->*Advanced Service Tools->Remarry Bluray Drive
4) If everything went fine it should have notified: "CEX_drive_init() succeeded"
5) Dont forget to repair CRL/DRL hashes if you need to fix it. You may need a BD movie disc to do that. If you don't fix the hashes you won't be able to watch movies anymore, games will still work fine though.
6) Done. Now you can toggle FSM off.

There is a log to check if everything went well. Successfully remarried /dev_usb000/cfw-settings.log should look like:

2011-12-31 19:00:24 [xai_plugin] : : _xai_plugin_prx_entry()
2011-12-31 19:00:24 [xai_plugin] : 1 : xai_plugin_init()

Regarding RSOD, you can apply the fix located in XMB CFW Settings :
Network->*Custom Firmware Tools->*Service Tools->*Advanced Service Tools->RSOD fix.

After everything, you can launch the Rebug Toolbox & enable Cobra & webman!

======================================================

Of course you can also both remarry the BD & fix rsod by reinitializing the vtrm regions, in 3.55 like in the old days.
If you prefer to do everything this way, you should downgrade to 3.55 & check the following out...
http://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/Remarry_Bluray_Drive
and
http://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/RSOD_Fix

If you need the lv2diag FSM files, here they are:

and the BD remarrying files for 3.55 are here:

I installed the CFW 4.80 Ferrox cobra 7.3 noBD noRsod, all OK run homebrew.
Rebug Toolbox installed, and activated qa flag.
Rsod fix installed, Started.

Result:

no Beep
Rsodfix.log: RSoD Error: ffffffff80010505

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I try to use the method proposed by bguerville with rebug NoBD !!!!

I'll let you know. !!!!

By the way the logic board is working 100% but not married.

The lens seems to work, in fact, it tries to read the disc.
The mechanical loads and ejects the disc.
But the motor that rotates the disk does not work.
How can I check if the motor is broken?

Thank you

@smikk
There is some debate about what the various rsod fix pkg do. Some do not fix vtrm regions.
As we don't have access to the source code, there is no way to know for sure what kind of fix is attempted.
Also remember that Ferrox is already patched for rsod, that may or not explain your results...

I had a conversation with baileyscream a few months ago about this & he recommended to use Vtrm reinitialization under FSM in 3.55.
However fixing rsod with XMB CFW Settings in Rebug should work fine also...

However, if you intend to remarry your BD Drive, you should focus on that first. Do the rsod last.
If you don't want to use the patched Rebug CFW pinky sent you, you can do everything under 3.55. I posted all the needed files earlier.

Can I repair the CRL / DRL hash no Bluray, as the bd does not read.
If the motor does not work, you should fix it before you take care of CRL/DRL but first there's the remarrying to do.

What are you trying to achieve though?
Do you really want to get your BD drive working or do you just want a functional console with or without BD?
If you don't care about the BD drive itself, remarrying a logic board without fixing the BD is sufficient to get Cobra working with any noBD CFW.
If you don't remarry a working logic board, you will most likely have problems running Cobra. In that case, you would be left with the BDEMU CFW option...

I want to get a ps3 and working with BD Playback and not RSOD.

I would like to do remarry, and fix Rsod, order to understand whether to buy the BD optical unit.
You can fix the "CRL / DRL" at a later time.

A question:

I extract AACS / MKB_RO.inf files from a Backup Bluray Copy 1: 1?
To use it with DRLTOOLS_0.90.

@Joonie
Official developer rebug wonder, can I use the CFW 4.80.1 with MFWBUILDER to add RSOD patch and the patch BD.
and which options to select in MFW BUILDER to do what

I do not think you need to use the backup & copy pkg with this method, at least I did not use it myself.
All I ever needed in the rar archive was the DRLgen Windows app... Then I followed the instructions & multiman fixed the problem. That was at least 18 months ago... Maybe more...
Have you read the Readme.txt included inside the archive? And the complement of information on psdevwiki linked in the Readme.txt?

Actually @baileyscream is the man to ask about these things if you really can't get anywhere. When he gets this mention, he probably will post some more advice for you. [emoji6]

If you know what you're patching, then the mfwbuilder is good for saving time. Ask @playerkp420 about his experience with the recent mfwbuilder, since he's quite good at using that

And about that DRL hash thing, unless you wanna watch physical bd movies, that's not really required.

As long as your logic board is married, you don't need a fully functional drive condition for gaming and streaming

I took the reader from another ps3 functioning 100%, and I changed the logic board, as your player with broken engine, mounted on the PS3 affected with RSOD.
I installed a CFW Rebug 4.80.1 WITH PATCH, noBD, noBT, noRSOD, as explained in the youtube videos playerkp420

I run the marrying through the new options of Rebug
run the Factory Service Mode
run the marrying the BD
run RSOD fix
run Factory Service Mode
