PS VITA / PS TV Max Payne Mobile Ported to PS Vita / PS TV

While the Vita scene patiently awaits the arrival of the next Grand Theft Auto ports rumored to be released soon, we have a surprise release coming from fgsfds and TheFloW. Today, the mobile version of Max Payne has been ported to the PS Vita / PS TV. Thanks to the recent release of TheFloW's kubridge, developers are able to bypass dynamic recompilation limits that had been previously set in place. You can take a look at the full list of credits in our dedicated resource thread (linked below) to see all the developers who helped in bringing this game to the PS Vita / PS TV.

Similar to other ports, in order to enjoy Max Payne Mobile on your PS Vita / PS TV, you will need to obtain the legitimate assets from your own copy of the game. You will find detailed instructions on how to extract the files needed in our dedicated resource thread as well. Being the first public release of the port, there are several known issues in it's current state, such as: long load times, a hidden memory leak, buttons names incorrectly displayed, and the intro movies do not play. Still, it is another great achievement for the Vita scene, and will help tide us over until we see the ports of Grand Theft Auto Vice City and Grand Theft Auto San Andreas released.

We hope you enjoy this nostalgic journey, and be sure to check back in with PSX-Place as we bring you news of more awesome Vita scene releases. And THANK YOU to all the developers involved in this project.

The Actual Vita is about the only Sony Console i do not have, but i have a PlayStation TV and you think about what you could do with that device then when released, prior to release seemed like a good device but delivery was a FAIL and could of been great.

But what the the Homebrew community has done for the Vita / PSTV it has been a great device.

Long Live the PS Vita! The installation process was not too shabby. I have a full guide video if your having problems installing it. I cover basically everything for those who are porting for the first time.

My thoughts - Of course I'm always happy to see any type of homebrew arrive to the PS Vita as its one of my favorites. The port works so well and I have a consistent 60 Frames all day long.
To see a game come from the google play store just unlocks all sorts of possibilities. We can have look into getting more ports for the vita.
