Yes I readed it, so speedyes must be using rc3. Btw also in rc3 you could choose the region, for example europe but the video (on OSDSYS) will be forced to NTSC for ps1 games from any region to work.

Out of curiosity I was trying to understand what's the difference between your NTSC video-output forcing and FMCB video-output setting.

I checked it, yes, RC4 keeps the OSDSYS to PAL on my 75004 when selecting Europe dev-kit.
FMCB logo still outputs in NTSC, but as soon as the OSDSYS appears it changes to PAL.

Hi, everyone. I have problems running Gran Turismo 4 NTSC on my 75004 PS with mechapwn.

Console works fine with PS2 Masterdiscs and PS1 backups but Dual Layer DVD of GT4 with ToxicDualLayer Patch and MasterDisc Patch doesn't work at all.

It seams to me that it doesn't even try to read it.

How would you go about makeing backups of DVD9 games for mechapwn?

Looks like a disc read issue, not a software one. GT4 does read the second layer after the copyright screen.

Both patchers do not interfere with each other.

Update: I cleaned the laser and then it started reading but got stuck with black screen after displaying the Toxic splash and GT4 Copyright screen.

Do you think there is problem with my laser or the dvd disc itself?
(it looks very cheap, not even a label on the front)

Why is my PS2 doesn't play DVDs anymore / FreeDVDBoot stopped working?

The DVD Player KELF inside the BootROM (BIOS) is region locked on non-deckard (pre SCPH-750XX). Since you changed the region of the console it can't run that file. To fix that you need to install a DVD Player update to your memory card.

Just wanted to clarify, does this mean that deckard consoles would still be able to run freedvdboot?

Flashed with MechaPwn 2.0 AFAIR.

Regarding "region change" and "fixed/static DVD-Players": I have not seen evidence for that.

How do you setup fmcb on a 9000X to be compatible with mechapwn? No modchip. I've seen people do it, but I haven't found documentation on how they did it. I've looked at the opentuna fmcb v1.9 but it doesn't seem like it's a multi install version.

Did you manage to do it? I want to install FMCB Multi-install version on my 90004 PS2. So far I have the latest FMCB but it's not multi-install version and I cannot find it with any opentuna/funtuna release.

Apologies for double replying, but I tried a Japanese game on the DTL-77003 UK and it doesn't work even if it's recognised as a PS2 disc.

Very weird, The github doesn't say anything about 75k+ models not being able to do run them on PAL versions of those consoles. Does the version information on your console reflect that it is currently acting as a DTL-77003 UK?

*Edit* Though I guess that won't matter on the latest RC4 version of MechaPWN because it doesn't change the Model name anymore.

Does it read your PS1 backups at all? At least that will tell us if it works at all.
