It seems like on OPL BDM3, the USB options act like the BDM option in 1.2.0, the text is not updated. Changing it to Auto it did let my console to find the games on the SD card, and I was able to both see and load save files. In other words, there's really not an issue with it beyond being unclear.
Dragon Quest V with the fan translation seems to be working too.
I also add another question, though: I understand that fragmentation can be an issue with the PS2, is there any tips to avoid that happening? I'm not going to be constantly adding and removing things from the SD card, it's going to be literally only to back up games and not need to use the disc reader.
