So I bought this faulty PS2 slim 77002(motherboard GH-051-12) just for the fun repairing it. The seller does say it has no video or audio signal at all. The actual picture I see is it turns on with green LED on, and the screen gets signal but stays black. If I put CD/DVD in it does spin but seems constantly struggle to read. Take it apart, it came in with signs apparently it have reworked before, with flux near USB connector, AV multiout port all the way to ethernet port. The video output IC may have been reworked on too but as far as I can tell the rework job was pretty decent with no apparent flaws.

It obviously isn't the RGB settings problem as I use AV cable and also did the blind setting work and no vail. I checked all the fuses and seems all have continuity. I also checked the resistor network between EE+GS and IC3003, IC5510 and the video output IC, between flash rom and its decoding chip, seems all fine. Checked the voltages on various voltage regulators and seems they all output voltages just fine. Probed the AV multiout connector and IC, and the IC does get its operational voltages I believe it's 1.7V, the AV multiout does have its 5V in one of the pin but nearly 0 on all the others. EE+GS does has 1.2V input voltage and it does getting warm if turned on.

I heard BIOS corruption could lead to non-bootable consoles. Is there anyway I can verify that I have a properly working BIOS without running any homebrew?
