PS3 New BD drive OFW 4.87 can't remarry. CFW 4.87.2 Evilnat Cobra is only CFW that works.

I had to buy a new BD and I'm trying to remarry it on a FAT CECHK01 with firmware 4.87. The connector on the old daughterboard broke so I can't use it and install it on the new BD drive. OFW is 4.87 so The only CFW I can get on it is 4.87.2 Evilnat Cobra. All the others say file corrupted when trying to install. I have a few toolboxes and somehow I found a place that has Custom Service Tools > Servicetools > Advanced Service that will allow me to remarry in FSM but I need to get EID on Flashdrive. Rebug toolbox only partially works and another toolbox has limited functionality too. I have Multiman on it but I see no place to do this. At this point I think it is impossible. It's been a long 5 days of attempting to fix a $50.00 BD drive. I could have bought a used one for this much but this PS3 only has 50 hours on it. I almost have 15 hours in trying to fix it and I think it would be a shame to not get it working. Anyone have an idea on how to fix this?

Have you tried to install last rebug toolbox last from Joonie86? Then get enabled toggle QA inside rebug toolbox ,check if combo for toogle qa work in XMB , downgrade from recovery mode to last rebug lite cfw and get your eid root key inside rebug toolbox . Not sure enable toogle qa will work without his bd drive but it could, second option teensy downgrade.

Old method for remarry won't work only in 3.55 fw.
Check in XMB toogle qa combo, it could work.

Evilnat's firmware is a built in nobd firmware afaik so that's why it works when others won't. Which connector was it that broke on the BD? The ribbon connector or the power connector? I would try what was mentioned above with attempting to toggle QA using the latest rebug toolbox. Otherwise you could always get a hardware flasher and downgrade that way. It's a nor based console so the E3 flasher would do the trick otherwise Teensy would also work.

it has RSOD bypass included but there are nobt, nobd, and nobt/nobd pups also.

One more safety thing before anymore testing go to ps3exploit and dump your flash. This is will eventually recover unit from any brick. You could patch unit from ps3exploit and then install 3.55 and use old method in 3.55 to remarry. This will work for sure.
You can add 3.55 patches from pc with your usb via ps3exploit. This is your flasher atm.
Then in recovery mode it should be installed 999 downgrader Rogero if your toogle qa is enabled and working in XMB test.
Rest will be very easy.
